Reboot Proton Pack build 2016

Reboot pack build progress.

Beginnings of the syncotron

Heatsync from Jason Murphy and 3D print files from Doug Keithley.

3D printed cage.

Reenforced with steel epoxy and cleaned up with spot putty and a boat load of sanding.

Inner center of the syncotron.

Files from Doug K.

Cage primed, painted with metal aluminum spray paint, and dirtied up with black bronze spray paint with a tooth brush, and then covered in “wireform” craft mesh.

Added threaded insert in prep to attach to copper piping.

Aluminum cryogen chamber fabricated by a local shop in town.

Before and after.

Rebuilt the cover. The handle slot was off center and the support welds that hold the cover to the bar in front were too noticeable and now their much better

That’s a thing of beauty.

Fantastic work. You’ve captured the detail really well. Look forward to seeing more [emoji4][emoji106]

Top Hammond knob box spacer printed.

And plate with knobs attached.

I wonder, could the spacer for the top Hammond Box on the San Diego Pack actually be a similarly sized and shaped black plastic project box that’s been cut down?

Could be, would make the most sence, I figure it to be a cut down black version of the same box.

They have black versions of all their boxes

Cryogen chamber riveted.

Inner cage and cryogen chamber mounted.

RF circuit base designed and printed

Primed and painted some of the parts today

Completed center of syncotron under the heatsync.

My understanding is this is a silencer. Why did print this so deep? For example: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/181989359807

Looking good. Keep the pictures coming.

Oh wait… My apologies. Viewed this on a larger screen and I see what you did. Please disregard my last question. Now… sorta want one.
