Remember ECTO-Cooler?

I’m sure every one remembers the best Hi-C flavor ever, ECTO-Cooler. :o The flavor that used Slimer to promote it’s sales and was that ecto-plasmic green color. The flavor that automatically made you a pimp (not that we used that word back then), by taking it out of your lunch box in elementary school. And was still available in grocery stores up untill a few years ago…

Last night I bought a pack of Hi-C Lavaburst at Target and sure as Hell, it tastes like ECTO-Cooler minus the green color. What a trip.

Anyway, I was just wondering if any one else enjoyed ECTO-Cooler back in the day?

Being a fan of X-entertainment.com, I feel that I should point a few links your way.

A little older but still relevent

And just for the hell of it…

Cool! Thanks for the info! :o

I’ll have to look look for the citrus cooler… I guess Lavaburst wasn’t the reincarnation after all. Although it tasted like ECTO-Cooler, it did have a little too much orange flavor in it.

Thanks again Jeff!

At one time, the larger “bricks” of Ecto Cooler came packaged with a lime green ruler/stencil that featured (if memory serves) 3 very rough shapes of the Ghostbusters and a shape of a ghost, maybe Slimer. I had at least one of these rulers as a kid and I remember that the stencils were a real pain in the butt to trace. The lines were so narrow that crayons and markers were pretty much useless! Anybody else remember these?

Okay, so I posted this topic almost a year ago. Sense then, I’ve looked in every store that carries Hi-C, searching for this flavor called “Citrus Cooler” (which if you look on the Hi-C site it does exist) and I have yet to find it…

Has anyone been able to find it? If so, what store did you find it in?

I had a 1 quart can sitting on my shelf in the basement for years. And over the years it seemed to dematerialize into the shadows and cobwebs. I went looking for it a year or so ago, just to see it, and it had vanished. Oh well. I like to think that it is in a landfill somewhere, making a used Kleenex smile or helping an old pizza box get its flavor on.
