I’ve re-engineered my bumper (tried to make it both more accurate and easier to de-mold) as well as rethought my molding process.

I’m happy with the way the new bumpers have come out and I hope you will be to. The bumpers have a moderate, movie-accurate seam that can be sanded off.

Dimensions (all measurements approximate):

  • Overall Height: 5.75"

Inside Height: 4.5"

Inner Width: 11.75"

Outer Width: 13:
The bumper can flex approximately 1" in width and fits all currently available shells.

The bumpers are shipped straight from the mold and may require some trimming/cleanup. Due it’s shape, the underside may have bubbles -these are not apparent when mounted to the pack

The price is $45 plus $12 shipping (within the US). If you’re international I’ll have to figure out your shipping cost.

Can I ask what is the inside width? I’m doing a scratch build, and frankly the bumper is one part I don’t intend to tackle myself. My Synch gen comes to a hair over 12 1/4", so I’m concerned as to whether a pre-made bumper would have enough give to accommodate my less than stellar measurements…

Alright, so I just have to say this is a great bumper! It arrived after just two days and fits an old Funkzilla shell; very little needed to be done to finish it, I.e., minimal sanding of the seem (personal taste) and a small area on the very bottom to fill in as he already pointed out. You cannot go wrong and I will be buying another when I build my next pack!

Are the bumpers still available? I’m currently doing a scratch build pack, and the bumper is not something I’m looking forward to. So if I can buy one I’ll be more than happy to pay the money for it.

All, I’ve redone the bumper and created a new mold. I’m getting nice clean pulls that require minimum clean-up. Afraid there’s a bit of a price bump -the bumpers are $45 plus $12 shipping (US/domestic).

I’ve got 5 bumpers in-hand and can pour more on demand.

I have six bumpers in-hand and ready to ship. After that ,orders are poured and de-molded as they come in.

I usually ship within a day of receiving payment (as long as I’m not traveling for work).

From what I heard besides wiz’ bumper kc are the only others that fit closely
