Hi all,
Since everyone is posting an Ecto concept or already have made an Ecto Concept. I wanted to show off my mock up.
The vehicle is a 1988 Dodge Colt Vista Wagon. The lightbar picture I got from a websource. The roofrack, JL5-2020 and hazard markings I borrowed from Boomerjinks. I hope you don’t mind. I still love your design.
This is just a quick and dirty mockup I did.
Any comments, advice or hints are most welcomed.
Thanks again for looking.
-Robert

You gotta scale that better!
Sorry, My photo skills are not up to par.
I just wanted to show a quick mockup. If someone can do a better one.
Have at it, I’ll post a blank pic of my car.
Boomerjinks, I know the scale was off, but is the idea not to your liking?? Just wondering.
But thanks for looking, keep the comments rolling

well, I started on ripping my car apart today. Here is just an example of what I did so far.

This is what it looks like now. I’m going to add a pair of bucket seats in the center and leave the back open for the Proton pack mounts and Ghosts traps and such.

I’ll post more as it comes along.
C-ya.

I remember those! It’s been a long time since I last seen it!
It reminds me of my old Ecto Van. I miss her.lol. Check it out.http://www.freewebs.com/realghostbustersofli/index.htm .
It might help for any Ideas.
Hey folks,
I know it’s been awhile since I posted, but had some more work done on my car. Here are the pics.
The side body armor removed and holes filled in.

More plastic removed from the back end, will be filled in with fiberglass and duraliner when I get to that point.

The glass being taped off to get ready for painting,

The top trim been primed and ready to be painted. I’m going to redo the trim in red as my homage to the original Ecto-1, since I don’t think red fins would look good on this car.

That is all for now.
When I apply more stuff, I’ll get pictures up. Also I do have my lightbar now, when I get a chance I’ll post pics of that too.
Thanks to all who read this.
Robert
Ok folks,
I finished the exterior for the time being. I didn’t take any pics of the decal applying or the final tint job.
The interior will be worked on some more and hopefully I will have pics of that.
For now, enjoy.

Funny, it looks a lot like a Mistsubishi Space Wagon to me, only missing a few details from the one my Mum used to own.
That is what the Vista’s were called in other parts of the world.
I have loved my put-put wagon since day one.
Hope I did the community proud with my concept.

West Texas GBs meeting the Fort Collins GBs.

You rock Boomer.
wow either your camera is screwed up or your car has a flux capacitor in it.
Are you planing to do a roof rack?
I didn’t know that my Gf’s camera didn’t have the right date stamp.
Oh well, I still got my picture shot.
I plan to have a rack mounted by halloween.
Then start doing interior work.
Laters,

Sounds cool,i hope it all works out.
Found a pic on the net with my lightbar on from the NDK convention I went to.

That green looks cool.
Due to powers beyond my control.
I have been forced to close the West texas Ghostbusters until further notice.
My Ecto will have to be stripped down to no logos and wording until I have them made into stick on.
My dream of driving this car during Halloween has been cancelled until further notice.
Thank you all for the short fun I did have with my car.
