Hey Everyone. Just wanted to show off my WWII inspired pack ive been working on. Its an ABS shell with mostly PVC parts. I built it for my custom GB Charicter, Sarge. Pack is still a work in progress but its coming along nicely i think.

Did some weathering on my pack tonite. Id like to hear what you guys think.

Very awesome. I always enjoy seeing new ideas for packs. The weathering looks great.
Weathering looks good. Makes it look like cast iron from the 1940s.
A couple of suggestions…The tubing and hoses look out of place for WWII. To make the pack look truly from the WWII Era, you might want to stay away from anything plastic too, like the wire loom. Perhaps some old rubber tubing and wiring and some vacuum tubes (instead of the Clippards) may make the pack look like it is from the 1940’s.
I agree with goldenhawk. It looks good but some parts do look out of place, like the Clippard Valves.
Old Vacuum tubes would look better, IMHO instead.
Looks good.
I like the weathering, it gives it way more dimension. The first photo was very flat but it’s looking very well beaten now.
Thanks. Im having a lot of fun with it.
Its not meant to be a strict representation of WWII. Im building it partially for a fanfilm a friend is making where “Sarge” is from another timeline where the GB are a military unit. I just called upon WWII and some vietnam influences to design the pack. But some upgrades may happen. Right npw i wanna get it wearable for Alamo City Con next weekend.
Awesome! I have wanted to do a WWII / Vietnam inspired pack for a long time.
One thing I wanted to do is put some basic camo netting on it.

Plus tons of stars and spades.
Looks awesome, Sarge! Love the paint job. If you could find some old cloth wrapped power cords like they used in the 30’s/40’s I bet you could turn those into a nice looking replacement for your wire loom.
Thanks for the input everyone. I really appreciate all your suggestions.
This pack isnt meant to be a direct “period correct” piece, i may end up incorporating a few of them.im working on a custom thrower right now that looks more modern tactical but im also getting a Matty Wand that i may make look more old school.
Did this ever get finished?
Unfortunately the user hasn’t logged in since January 2016, so we may never know.
Well that’s a bummer, I’d lover to see how this turned out. An interesting “alternate universe Ghostbusters” idea.
