Sides of Trap Frame Walls to small?

I’m using somewhat thin wood for my trap, but I noticed that the thickness of the 2 sides of the trap is twice as thick as the wood I have.

My question is, Should I proceed to leave the sides a little thin, or should I cut 2 of the same shape and paste them together.

If I paste the 2 shapes together, is it possible to put a little bit of needed putty on the sides to make it look like one piece and would the putty stay after I apply and paint over it?

If I do this, I really need to make them look like one piece.

If anyone has any tips, please let me know.

Just cut the sides to shape, glue them together, use wood putty on the edges, and then sand them down.

I just didn’t want to continue on it and then have it come out like crap.

Odds are only the most discerning ghostheads will really know.. and they would most likely lways find an issue anyway.

Long as you have a box on your hip with yellow and black stripes, the rabble will all think its a ghost trap.. LOL!
