Has anyone ever created the device that ray uses to collect the first sample of slime from the pneumatic transit? I’m not even sure if there is a name for the apparatus. I’m going to start doing some research and try to find parts for it from the screen grabs I have got. I’m gonna post a few of them here, i have total of about 33 pictures of the it. Let me know what everyone thinks.

I wouldnt mind some more pics myself. I started a build and even got all the elctronics done, but stopped. A) because I was getting evicted b) because I couldnt find a good sized dome to match the rotating one.
Not even close to accurate. Don’t get me wrong it’s a first rate try, but as it stands the slime scoop has never been accurately replicated by a fan.
I’m using the tripod idea from this particular replica but nothing else. My theory has always been the body of the slime scoober looks exactly like the proton gun body with added details, vent filled in. It even has the same back handle in the same position. It’s not crazy to think there was just an extra gun body laying around the prop shop. So basically I’ve used an old resin gun body that I had laying around for the base of mine mixed with some intense staring at the screen trying to nab some details in that dark lit sewer.
Found some pics of it in it’s very first stages. I’ve since added much more detail, got the electronics working as far as the revolving scoop, and added the telephone cord. I also took the liberty of cutting some small pvc and gorilla gluing them to the bottom of the tripod to replicate the fishing rod loops as seen in the film. I also used these pvc loops to run wires across the bottom from my motor in the top to the battery box in the body. Unfortunantly I dont have up to date pictures and have yet to have time to come back to this project.
Looking at the pics almost makes me want to whip it out again. 
Been real busy lately so haven’t been able to update my concept for the slime collector. the image is to scale, so this is what it would look like when I tackle this project. Also been studying the containment unit as well and have a 3d rendering of what it would look like. would like to try to tackle this project over the winter and depending how it goes may offer them for sale in the near future. let me know what you guys think.
I’d suggest looking at the Courtroom scene table, the angles there of the scoop sorta throw your computer generated images off.
Yeah, the courtroom scene more so is the shots that made me want to think it was possibly an old thrower prop they were using for the base of the scoop.
It’s some project boxes. It’s seriously a lot less impressive when you start looking at the fine details in the HD copies of GB2.
