Some customization available? Sure looks like it.....

*SCHWEET!! I just pre-ordered [again] the PS3, PS2. and DS versions at Gamestop yesterday afternoon!!  :-D…

*Cheers.

Question…Will the code be just one universal code? (eg. everyone that preorders receives the code: gb2UNI). If so, would one of you that are preordering please post the code here on gbfans?

well just reserved the 360, Wii, and DS at Gamestop. The guy behind the counter told me that I was getting the free T-Shirt and the in-game costume. I mentioned wanting to show up in costume and he told me to definitely do it since the employees would be doing the same. Can’t wait.

The code you recieve for the in game GB2 outfit will be an exclusive code and only available one per person. It will not be universal and can only be obtaned once.

I thought that would be the case…Even with the costume incentive, I don’t think I’m gonna preorder my copies…I’m just too fearful that gamestop won’t receive it on the release date. Oh well. :whatever:

Gamestop will have it on the 17th.

And even if they didn’t get it on time (which is unlikely) I find the wait to be worth it for the extra goodies. Also what people don’t seem to get is that numbers on a game depend a lot on pre orders, as in, by being a Ghostbusters fan and NOT preordering, you’re hurting the game.

Oh well…I’m still gonna skip the preorder and get my copy on the 16th opposed to the 17th. There’s been a few times i’ve preordered w/ game stop and the game arrived 3-4 days past the release date.

If you’re lucky you can get the game even before the 16th, since some places like to break the rules and risk getting fined just so they can release games a few days earlier.

i pre ordered mine already luckily so yeah gb2 uniform code and a free t shirt!

lol. yes, I know; I’m that guy… I will be calling around to multiple stores on the 15th to see if, by chance, they put it out early. I’ve been lucky to find a couple games out early in the past…we’ll just have to wait and see about gbtvg. My brother was at a Target 4 days before the release of GOW2 and an older lady employee was putting the game out on the shelf. He asked if he could get a copy and she said no problem. Unfortunately, while she was ringing him up, her coworker arrived and killed the transaction.

BestBuy is one place I often find games before the street date (smaller releases though not extremely high profile, though GBTVG is probably somewhere in the middle). Mom and pop shops would be a good bet too, but locating one is easier said than done.

Wait a minute! I’m planning on getting a 360 and a ps3 copy, sooo, I can reserve the 360 copy and get the suit, and pick up the ps3 version from target on the morning of the release date (just in case there’s a delay with gamestop shipping).

may I ask why you are getting a copy for ps3 and 360 when they are basically the same?

i cant say if this is right or not but some people did say there was something different about the ps3 version from the 360 version but that may have been rumor/speculation

im also getting both to see what the difference is (if there is one beyond maybe graphics and controls) and i need more games for my ps3

I know that in an interview they said that they built the game for the ps3 first and then ported it to the 360, but as far as actual game content I don’t know of anything in the ps3 version that isn’t in the 360. It’s possible there will be various unlockables or downloadable content, but since i don’t own a next gen system I have no idea how that works.

Edit: i hope the PS3, 360, and PC versions are pretty much the same. I’ll be getting a pc copy.

I’ll be buying it for the 360, ps3 & wii for the following reasons. ..

• 360:

most of my buddies play on 360 live, so that’s where I’ll be spending most of my online play.

• PS3 (I bought this for the bluray player):

my brother and brother-in-law only have the capability of playing online through their ps3; plus, my ps3 is connected to my surround sound and my 360 is not; so this is where I’ll be playing story mode most of the time.

• Wii:

I’ll probably wait a bit before I buy this one, but I’d like to check out the different art work and game play; plus, you can play coop through story mode.

I thought using a custom Mii as the player character would have been a given for the Wii version of the game.

Ah, well… It was probably too much trouble to incorporate.

They appear to only have a single male and female version of the rookie.

Well there is a new interview that says:

The obvious guess would be that you could use your Mii but we won’t know for sure for about two more months (IT’S ALMOST HERE!).

I preordered for the 360 and the DS, but I won’t be able to play either until after June 27th. I’ll be at an Army training base when the game comes out. :frowning: It’ll get shipped to my house and be waiting for me when I return home. I’ll probably rip the box open, throw the trash on the floor, put the game in, and play for four hours in a sweaty uniform while sitting on my duffel bag full of dirty, stinking clothes.

I bought the 360 last summer BECAUSE of this game. I even got an HD plasma screen TV to take full advantage of the high def capability of the 360. Then, the damn thing didn’t come out .

The Wii version is panning out to be darned cool. My wife plays the 360 – sometimes. If we could play through the story in co-op, we’d probably have more fun than a barrel of monkeys. So, now I’m considering getting a Wii and pre-ordering the Wii game. However, I have to weigh that decision against having less money to spend at Dragon Con, and that is IF I can go to Dragon Con. Having customizables in there pretty much sells it, though. I’m getting promoted before I ship off to that training school and will have more money to spend anyway.
