Check out this new pic from the developers blog of the multi-player level. Winston’s outfit is a bit blue for just an “environmental lighting” highlight.
If this has been shown somewhere else, I apologize, but damn they are throwing everything at this game
I don’t think the RGB suits will be unlockable as much as there may be a degree of uniform/equipment customization that allows you to tweak the color and contrast to the point where the suit is darker brown/lighter blue/whatever. I doubt you’ll be able to seperately change the colors of the cuffs and collar.
It’ll be pretty cool to try and have a team together that has colors similar to RGB though.
Remember its a dev blog they can do or add any of that stuff. Plus its still early they could easily add in new colors to the suits any time. Its just a simple Hex code with a slight modification of the options to allow you to pick it. So this very well could be true. Yest again its a dev blog so any of this could just be simple testing for future DLC.
Personally i think we will be allow to change our color only in multiplayer. Via teams like Green team, Blue Team, Black Team and so on.
I myself am a game designer so i know the ins and outs of this business and the truth is if this was DLC you wouldn’t be seeing it right now cause they don’t do previews of DLC when the game is not even out yet. But i still cant wait for this game to come out. Me and my team where going to do a Ghostbusters mod for Unreal Tournament if this game hadn’t been announced. So when it was we just moved on to another project. Also its march now well almost April now but that’s still 3 months away they can do allot to this game in just 3 months.
I actually met the developers of the Wii/PS2 version of the game back at the NY Comic Con, and I can say with certainty that there WILL be RGB uniforms… at least in those versions. The guys told me jokingly “Yeah, we’re going to have some unlockables, such as multicolored uniforms, that kinda thing.” When I asked if that was a RGB influence I was responded with “Oh no no… we couldn’t do that, we can’t get into that licensing… but if a fan were to interpret it that way, so much the better.”
I’m 100% honest here, I just didn’t realize until now that this was subject for debate. Yet again, only on the Wii and PS2 version, to my knowledge.
Yeah - I saw that on Proton Charging this morning. Guess I will be pre-ordering after all. If it was just the T-shirt I would have skipped and gone to Wal-mart at midnight, but for in-game goodies…
