where the hell is TMNT? that was a kick ass movie filmed in NYC

I never really considered "Independance Day " a NYC movie either. I’m pretty sure there was a shot of Sydney Harbour in that movie too, and even the poster has Washington DC on it. Most of the movie seemed to take place in the desert. They must have a pretty broad criteria of what a NYC movie is.
How about “The Secret of My Success”? Classic Michael J. Fox movie.
They left out “Basket Case.”
the secret of my success was one of Michael J Fox’s best films other than Greed and BTTF series.
