One of the radiologists at the hospital I work at asked me to bring my suit in cause he’s a big fan. So after a little encounter with the cops (they thought I was an exterminator) I rocked up at work today with the kit on and pack blaring loudly. He then told me we should x-ray it, which I obliged to.
Ah man. Back in, shit, 2009, my buddies and I were exploring buildings downtown and we entered the Supreme Court library building. The place had an x-ray machine, but it was practically deserted. I’d always wanted to take a pack to get x-rayed somewhere but I could never find a place that had a machine and was also so empty that I could take the time to convince the operator to do me a favor.
But this is way, way WAY better than the machine I wanted to put mine through. This is ■■■■■■■ awesome, great job, GREAT job!
What is the resolution of the image? It would make a really cool wallpaper.
Haha cheers guys. Yeah it was fun, FYI, it was done on a Phillips Brilliance 64 Slice CT scanner. The pack is way too big to fit on a standard xray plate, but that would have had nicer contrast, and no distortion. I do have the DICOM (xray format) images, but they are quite large, considering the length of the scan was 1.2 meters Not too sure what the full resolution is, these are low res copies, I’d have to goto work and check on the scanner.
This was actually done for a department art competition, so if we do end up getting it printed, I’ll look into getting a bunch done if others want them. No promises on that though.
what are the D ring and circle thing next to the palm rest on your thrower? if i had to take a guess i would say it looks like you have a ■■■■■■■■ your walkie holster, and the D ring is to adjust the length and the circle is a snap fastener..
It’s the ■■■■■■■■ the alice frame after I sat it down I realized I forgot to tuck it under and well I couldn’t really be bothered fixing it up at the time
Glad to be of help Lannyjack. Though there are some things I’d probably do different, if I could have gotten a long bolt I’d have run that down the centre of the bumper for one. None of the bolt shops would sell me an accurate bolt long enough to do it.
