So I bought the GB Fans soundboard, GBfans wand light kit, GB fans blue brick battery, and the GB Fans speaker. I can hook this setup fine. However, I think I may want the pack to be very loud. Basically, I would like the proton back to also double as a party speaker for tailgates, pool parties, etc. however, I don’t really know how voltacge, amperes, etc. factor in and I would hate to unwittingly waste a lot of money making a crappy sound setup. I have spent a couple days surfing the boards, reading others’ build threads, etc. and have not acquired all the knowledge necessary to make confident decisions.
So my questions are:
Since the GB Fans speaker is rated at 8 ohms, could I buy another GB fans speaker and wire them in parallel to get the resistance at 4 ohms. Then get a third (but different speaker) rated at 4 ohms, wire it in series, to get the total resistance back up to 8 ohms?
2.1) If yes, is there a setup you recommend? GB Fans speaker, a sub, and a tweeter? 2 GB fans speakers and a sub (or tweeter)? 3 GB Fans speakers (2 wired in parallel and 1 wired in series)?
2.2) If no, what would you recommend?

Technically it is impedance not resistance. Yes, you can do as you suggest. I’d recommend you get two larger 4-ohm 2-way car speakers and wire in series for 8-ohms and skip the 3rd speaker but that’s just my preference.
I have built four packs with sounds from GBFans board, and Crixs as well. Both with car speakers, and stereo speakers, and no worries.
The GBFans board has an amp in, so you only need a speaker for it. I have a 100W stereo car speaker on my own pack, and even though a bit overkill on the Wats, the speaker works without trouble.
I actually need to put the volume a bit lower on the GBFans board when inside, as it is loud…

I guess my first step is to wire everything up that I currently have, see how loud it really is, and then see if I need to get two more speakers. It just sucks because UPS is not delivering my order from GB fans until monday. Grr.
Im having an issue with the gbfans speaker too… i have the same setup as the author of this, all gbfans lights and sound board with the ribbon cables. I tried 2 things: 2 gbfans speakers wired in a series for 16 ohms. I also just tried 1 gb fans speaker, both have similar performance on my current setup which is movie sounds only with “hum” set to on. All sound ok except the freakin hum, it just sounds like the speaker is popping from the bass in the hum, like they can’t take it. In any case, i don’t find this setup very powerful, you wouldn’t be able to hear it in a crowd. Any suggestions? Stronger amp or speakers (2 4 ohm car speakers wired parallel)? What’s going to give me the strongest loudest sound with the gbfans sound board?

I have 2 4ohm 6x9 car speakers wired in series and its over the top loud, so loud in fact that I’ve had to downgrade to 1 4inch speaker and 1 5 1/4 inch speaker. There is no need for another amp. When I cranked the 2 6x9’s up to full I couldn’t hear myself talk. The HUM is full of bass naturally so expect that. The pops can be down to a bad connection between the board and speaker, try upgrading your speaker wire too
Cracking may be an issue with the low frequency your speaker cannot reproduce. The one in the shop is a good compact speaker but is has a frequency range (70-13k) that is more narrow than other options. The car speakers I used have a range of 35-20k. They have good bass and sound nice but they are heavier and take up more space. As with most things, it’s a balance.
