Spengler wand doesn't work with haslab pack

I’m in need of some advice. I recently started modding my Haslab pack after letting it sit for over a year. I put a Spongeface keep alive in it along with cyclotron LEDs. I put a 12v blue brick and a 12v talent cell to make sure it was enough to power it. It all runs fine on either power source EXCEPT the Spengler wand. For the life of me I can’t figure out why neither one of my two works at all when connected to the pack, but work perfectly fine when they have their batteries installed.

It all worked fine together before I put the keep alive in, but I’m leaning towards thinking the hose connectors are the issue.

Here’s some pics I took of the hose and the battery slide side by side. The hose has the contacts further back. Is there possibly any way this is the issue and is there a way to fix it without buying a new hose? That answer is the most common thing I see when I hit the search button but I figured I’d ask anyway.

Thanks!

If it worked prior to installing the keep alive, good diagnostic technique would be to uninstall the keep alive and repeat the test. If the wand works, then the keep alive is at fault somehow (either the installation procedure or the keep alive circuitry itself). If it still does not work, then the problem is likely with the hose connector (which is not at all uncommon, and why Hasbro switched to off-the-shelf GX16 connectors for the trap).

Best of luck.

Oh, troubleshooting a Spengler bar with a Haslab package might use the trick of checking the tube connectors first, as they often cause problems.
