I know what I’m doing with my N-Filter now. Thanks for the inspiration.
Did you n-filter come unattached, Steve, or did you cut if off yourself? I wish I had that kind of room to work on my filter. ![]()
I thought the same thing. Having someone hold my pack up while I messed with it was annoying…
looks AMAZING! can’t wait to put some tampons in my N-Filter!!!
Some asked me how my N-Filter is made. I mentioned it in my construction thread (Spengler28 Proton Pack - Pack Almost Done - Proton Packs - GBFans.com) but here’s a summary.
My N-Filter is made ??of 2 PVC coupler and a PVC cap, the 3 measures 2.75 "OD. I bought at a hardware store (Canadian Tire), but they must sell them in all good hardware stores in the plumbing section . Firstly I cut one of the couplers to fit perfectly on my cyclotron. I filled the gap with some mighty putty that i sanded.

Second, I cut the second coupler to the correct length and I glued the 3 parts together. Then we mark the locations for the holes and start drilling. This part is the longest, I start with a tiny bit and I pierce through with bit bigger and bigger, until 1 / 2 ".

And yeah my N-Filter is full removable, it fixed to the cyclotron with a 1/4 bolt and another fixed to the shell with another 1/4 bolt
(My cyclotron arnt molded on the shell)

Voila, its more “long” to do than hard
Hand made, removable N-filter FTW.
Oh and thanks for the pic of the steel wool, I’m sure it’ll come in handy. ![]()
I believe that’s the same stuff I used, lol. Walmart special?
Simply gorgeous! Very interesting take on the N-Filter; I might have to try that…
What are supposed to be, some kind of cosmonaut??

Badass pack. :nicejobyoudid: :nicejobyoudid: :nicejobyoudid:
No, im an exterminator. Someone saw a cockroach up on twelve. ![]()
That’s gotta be some cockroach…
Wow, this is ridiculously good. As a newb, I don’t think I’ve earned the privilege to hand out a crunch yet haha. But damn this is good work ![]()

After having received and installed my new Arcoelectric Hat lights (thanks to AJ again) I decided to improve my Shock mount. It has been shown that the bellows were made ??of brass with an aluminum cap.
So I started to paint the “bellow” part with gold paint to give him a look of brass.

I applied some black paint with a cloth and then wiped. creating a dirty looking

Put a lot of Fuller earth and installed back, easy to do

The last update i would like to do is replacing my custom SMC Elbow for some real Legris gen 1 but i didnt find any of them yet, and i think ill never never find them… ![]()
Real elbows or not, that’s a stunning looking pack!
Nick said it best: stunning. That bellows looks incredible, and that pack is simply gorgeous. One of the best I’ve seen.
Kudos, man. :crunch:
