So just a quick update. Have really had to slow down my build. Life seems to have a way of hitting you in the nuts when you least expect it. However, Here is where I am right now. I got so me new tools for Christmas!
Was able to cut the channel to make the front handle rotate. Two minor oh ■■■■ moments here. One was when my drill slipped and made the screw hold too big for the peg screw. Got my to fix that with some apoxy sculpt.
Other oops was the aluminum tube into the front handle came loose. Looks like the glue I used was too old to hold. A new tube of gorilla glue and we are back in shape. I did crack the front tube of the handle when re-inserting the aluminum tube. Now bad enough to be noticeable, but my gorilla glue to the rescue again!!!
I received my rear handle from speedy metals and after a few minutes of tapping, I have a handle!
Now I am working on cutting the tube inside the gun box for the electronics.
Then fitting my spongeface bezel and working on my welds.
One question, the hat lights came as raw castings. Do you, drill out the insides for lights?
So, in drilling the hole for the barrel lock and rotating channel, the outer tube hole became a bit oblong. Anyone ever have this happen? Hints on what can be done to fix the hole in the outer tube?
