I swear, if they made a clear coat scented cologne, I’d buy it! I love spraying auto urethane!!
Looks great! Can’t wait to see it finished.
My impala wagon has been half painted for years now because of the lack of funds, and adequate working facilities. The little I got painted, had to be done outside, so I really can’t paint the whole car. And its also hard to fix the rust because you know… Here in Florida, its either too hot to work outside, or its raining
Turning my car into an ecto 1b, I have to let u in on a tip with the hazard stripes. The roll u have will lean towards the front of the car on the drivers side but lean back on the passenger side. I made mine n a decal place printed them cause the opposite lean is literally next to impossible to find. Just a tip. Ur car’s lookn badass tho!!!
Alright! So it’s all painted The polishing is being finished up today.. Tomorrow they will be gutting the interior of the car, cleaning it out and getting it prepped for new fabric/cloth and such. Friday the lights and siren are being installed. Then Tuesday all of the decals are being put on the car. And some time next week the tint is being put on. Man this is coming together fast! Just a few more weeks!
On to some pics.. Note the roof is taped up to keep any of the compound from the bottom getting on to the already completed top.
I’m going to go out there and say it: Thank you so much for making this one ongoing build thread that contains all the comprehensive information about your car instead of posting a new thread whenever you add something.
Niiiice. It looks sweet! One thing I wanted to ask, it looks like the back wheel-wells are missing the panels (If they were taken off, well, oops. Haha) for the wheel covers. Are you guys going to try to locate/restore some, or keep it as is?
Yea the hub caps were taken off (we found some new ones online that were in really good condition).. as well as alot of the other stuff.. for the painting. Will be put back on shortly
BEAUTIFUL! Can I offer some advice? Our group had an issue with all the lights wearing on the battery. We switched to LED’s for the lightbars, and it’s definately less drain! Not to mention the LED’s can be seen from a greater distance.
We are doing a dual battery system with a 100 amp alternator and a professional putting in the electronics so we wont have a problem with the power. Im trying to stay traditional with it.
