A while back there was some renewed action on trying to find the source of the GB1 ribbon cable. It was pretty clear that it would be a certain impossibility to find, I figured I try to make one.
I did a few tests, I found the right colored wires (stripes included) and here is what I came up with:

Yes, I am pretty proud of how they came out.
As far as selling, what would be of more interest:
Buying the wires and getting instructions how to do it yourself
Hint: one will cost you less 
I’d be in for a low cost… but I build most of my stuff, so it doesn’t count. LOL
How much brighter do you think it should it be?
I make great parts, never said I was a great photographer.
I’m just pretty happy that we have two fantastic versions of this ribbon cable that are in progress!

See, I grew up in the 80’s and “gay” was a term people used to indicate “silly” or “stupid”.
And back in the early half of the 20th century “gay” meant happy. So if I said, “Spectrastrips are happy” it would have made no sense.
If I said “Spectrastrips are homosexual” that would have made even less sense.
If I said, “Your mom was great last night”, that would have been insensitive.

id be down to buy one…but if you just want to post a how to and vendor/supply list that would be cool too!
both versions look better then spectra strip…cause it is gay..err, happy…i mean stupid.
