The Global Warming scam--the smoking gun

I drive a civic because it’ll keep going till the wheels fall off. plus, foos digs guys with sweet rides.

I just can’t wait to see what other stuff is revealed as far is this scheme is concerned…I bet Al Gore is thinking…“ahhh damn”… I hear he had loads of money invested in these clean air industries and stood to gain a lot from ■■■■ and trade…

and China is the #2 polluter…right after the good ole’ US of A.. they can’t cut back production–we need cheap stuff. like Kind.

Wait, we are supposed to throw a fit over a book cover? It’s clearly supposed to be displayed as a warning, so who cares?

yes it is a warning—to demonstrate what will happen when global warming kills off all the sea sponges. Basically, without all those sponges down there, soaking up the water, the oceans will inevitably rise.

Yea…

In the 70’s it was “Global Cooling”, during the late 80’s it switched to “Global Warming”, now it’s “Climate Change”. Al Gore who is spear heading this movement is such a hypocrite I don’t see how anybody can take this seriously.

Cap and Trade…one of the direct results of the Global Warming lies will raise the average American’s energy bill to $1,800!!! If it were to pass…

All for a better, cleaner, mother earth…right?

No matter what the cost…

Too much Fox lol

In my short life on this planet, I can safely state that even “Going Green” actually causes more damage and waste of resources. Now glass isn’t as versatile a recyclable simply because making glass bottles is all it can be made back into, provided the glass used isn’t of varying color (clear, brown, green). Aluminium cans? I can see that. Aluminium is actually good to recycle because of the fact it’s good for all sorts of shit. Paper and Plastic… What can I say about it other than it actually costs more money to reuse and is rather pointless to use because of the amount of resources wasted on this shit that can’t be of higher grade. Newsprint and Toilet paper are among the types of paper made from reused shit and fact of the matter is, they used a crapload of water and bleaching agents to redo the paper. The wastewater from paper recycling makes the process completely pointless.

Of course, I’m just talking about environmentalism in general. Now, were global warming links into that statement: Now you’re sending diesel trucks - separate from the regular garbage pickup trucks that also run on diesel fuel - to pick up shit that needs to be separated by workers, then put through the processes to have it remade into worthless, water polluting shit if it’s paper, air polluting not-really-reusable-plastic bottle plastic that came make some shoe strings and a few yards of polyester-type fabric, to the only really sensible and money saving recyclables metal cans and glass bottles. So now you have to employ a bunch of people to separate it (Not that I have a problem with that part) and you have to drive big ass trucks not once on a garbage pickup day, but twice just to gather the damn recyclables. Anyone notice that no one is separating their recycling between the different types anymore? Because now you have to pay for the recycling bins.

Interesting question: Are those bins made from recycled plastic? Never got an answer on that one.

With the diesel trucks (which by the way, on average, burn fuel at 3 miles to the gallon unless it was made from 2004 up) gathering all these recyclables, it pumps craptons of diesel emissions into the air. Yeah, we’re making the world cleaner by pumping ■■■■ that is said to cause “Climate Change” into the air. Smooth one, fellas. That’s as smooth as eating those glass bottles shattered into bits. Seriously, it’s like trying to snowboard uphill. It becomes pointless in the long run.

Face it, throughout the world, does it really come as a shock when all the shit being done to save the world was nothing more than a clever way for some D-Bag industrialist to get out of EPA trouble or have some Suave Business dinglenut just trying to use the good nature of the average working class dope to line his pockets with money?

“But Dan,” you ask, “what about the impending doom from Global Climate Change?” For starters, if you believe this, you’re a moron. Carlin said it himself, we have only been engaged in heavy industry for 200 years. In 100 years of that 200 years I learned somewhere that the Earth’s average temperature has only raised by 1 degree. I have to look that up to give verification to that fact, but the fact I heard it on the Discovery channel does tell me we’re being snookered somewhere. And I don’t know about you guys, but this past January was mighty damn cold. Negative 13 degrees here in Chicago. It has been since 1995 since I felt a temperature that cold. Upon walking outside and feeling the water vapour from my own nose freeze on my beard made me exclaim, “Global Warming my fat white ass!”

Besides, unlike what tree huggers and idiots have been calling for years, deforestation is caused by cow grazing farms and the main “Greenhouse Gas” that is making our atmosphere “go all loopy” is friggan methane. Where does the methane come from? THE COWS’ ■■■■■!

Why not go out on an extreme limb and start bitching about Chernobyl again. It’s been 20 years, I think it’s time to bitch about nuclear reactors that were obviously poorly constructed and badly shielded due to the country’s lack of nuclear safety precautions and standards of upkeep on safety equipment and procedures. I don’t think we’re done beating that horse quite yet.

Generally, all I’m getting at is “Saving the Environment” and “Stopping Global Climate Change” is nothing but global snake oil. Someone needs to invest money in this ■■■■ to get it started and actually did it for the purpose of suckering the working class and the Government out of money (unless it’s the Government pulling the strings. At this point Corporate America in bed with Government to make money off you is not even a far fetched idea really)

As Penn and Teller once stated, “It’s bullshit.”

So one cold winter = Global Warming is BS? It’s almost December and I haven’t worn a jacket once this year. I agree with you on recycling, it is mostly a wasteful practice, but I’m not going to debunk climate change just because you had a cold winter last year. I’m also forced to take this supposed smoking gun with a grain of salt because it is hard to trust a thief, and nothing has been verified yet.

dan great post. I usually don’t read the long posts but that was worth it. Foos and I always said that “If one is *that *concerned for the environment, you should just kill yourself. for humans, just being alive, occupying a space, eating, consuming, procreating, etc etc, we will have some impact on the world.” no amount of green lifestyle will take away from the fact that in order to have a home, squirrels and bears and raccoons will lose a place to live.

as far as recycling goes, I’m all for it, because we save money by not having to bag all those things.. so it benefits me that way. plus it saves space in the landfill I guess.

It cost more to recycle than to toss, so you are paying for it in one way or another. Glass and metals make sense to me, stuff like paper doesn’t, and plastics I have mixed feelings about.

meh, there’s a recycling fee,but it’s minimal.

Recycling is often more taxing than we realize; we did an economic survey of recycling in undergrad and I was surprised to see the trade offs that are created when we recycle, it winds up causing more pollution at other levels of the process.

It’s damned if we do, damned if we don’t sometimes.

that’s irony right there. I guess the best way to look at recycling is there’s less garbage going into the landfill. My old hometown has an artificial mountain made of it. holy ■■■■…I’m sounding like a whacko enviro-nut..

yeah, you said that just by our own existence, we cause pollution. Not necessarily. I think the planet was designed to handle all the people living on it. If we were all living like in the 1700s it wouldn’t be an issue.

Its the constant consumerism, and always wanting newer products that are quick and easy to make, ship and sell that causes the high amounts of trash and the “fake mountains” of consumer trash. Its a developed nation’s disease.

People might seem to have good intentions but everyone wants easy to open packages and quick disposable stuff. Like Asian cars..

(sorry, just had to ^_^)

A leading environmental scientist in the middle of the leaked email scandal is being pressured to resign.

Yes, I remember reading that paragraph in the Planet Owner’s Manual.

Specifically Psalms 24:1

On a more serious note, the human population has grown to the numbers it has only because of technologies and methods we’ve developed to adapt and live in areas previously inhospitable, not to mention modern medicine which keeps us alive far longer than our expected life span. Couple that with the mass amounts of pollutants we generate simply by living our modern day-to-day lives, and it adds up. Earth isn’t prepared to handle our modern ways if we don’t put our pollution in check. Even if Earth isn’t warming, isn’t it enough that some cities are literally choked in smog? Does there have to be some cosmic disaster looming for us to want to take care of the only home we have?

I’m by NO means a fan of cap and trade. AT ALL. But we DO need to be conscious of keeping the planet clean, not because Armageddon is coming or because Al Gore told you to, but because no one wants to live in filth.

well said jairus, but without all that smog, we’ll lose those beautiful LA sunsets.
