I grabbed a trap and pedal from a user on another site that didn’t have the 2022 connectors or the hose. I have found the 2022 connectors but my question is what is the exact size of hosing that I need? I used the search but couldn’t find the info I was needing. I didn’t see the hose anymore on MMM either. I’m sure I can find it at Lowes or Home Depot I just need to know the measurements. Thanks!
I think I found what I needed. I believe I needed 3/16 outside diameter and 1/8 inside diameter. That’s what I ordered so hopefully I’m not wrong.
I thought it was 1/4" wire loom?
crap I thought I needed 1/8 inside since the connectors are 1/8. Another question (sorry) I haven’t messed with putting traps together before. Is it just red duct tape on the outside, or is that heat shrink? If it isn’t how are you guys keeping the wire loom held to the connectors? Super glue, epoxy? Thanks!
There’s a hose inside the loom that attaches to the Foster connectors. The tape is red, but the loom also has small black zip ties at the ends.
ahhh so just put a smaller clear hose that connects to 1/8th and slide that onto the connectors, put the red tape on the ends and small wire ties? That sound right?
I’ve always used 1/4" hose(color doesn’t matter since its covered) connected to the 2202 fittings (1/8" barb)
and then covered it with black 1/4" split loom with red electrical tape on the ends along with small black zip ties.

Auto parts stores, hardware stores…maybe WalMart.

For the hose or the loom? I’d say 1/4" OD hose so it fits in the wire loom.
both should be 1/4" outside diameter correct? The loom and the hose?
The split loom goes by inside diameter, so 1/4" loom fits the 1/4" O.D hose, the 1/4" O.D hoses I.D fits the connector.
awesome that’s what I thought. the guy I ordered 1/8 from had 1/4 in so I had him switch me to 1/4. I have the hose, loom, red electrical tape, small zip ties, and 2022’s coming in. The trap and pedal should be here sometime this week for me to connect them all up. Thanks for all the help!

Here it is next to the Mannequin I just put together for it. I also put together a Green Ranger, and I’m waiting on some Nike Mag replicas to come in so I can finish my Marty McFly BTTF II. Anyhow those will be posted in my collection pictures
hey sorry to crash the thread, I’m trying to convert my matty trap to be more GB1 accurate. is the hose they used in GB1 a black air/fuel hose? i can’t tell officially from pictures and film.

I used the fuel hose for my GB1 trap, whether that was accurate or not I’m unsure.

For my GB1 Trap Build, I’m using a 5/32" (4mm) Vacuum Hose I picked up at Advanced Auto Parts tonight. Slides onto the pneumatic fittings great and holds tight. For anyone that uses a non-loom hose for GB1, I use an AutoCraft brand hose (Part #AC3340P). Comes in 6 feet length. Dunno if you can get longer lengths, but a 6’ pre-cut ran $4.00 and change.
