That got you in here, the Kud used in another film, kind of.
In the 1988 film “High Spirits” a castle in Ireland is haunted and a group of tourists visit. One person in the group is a “ghost hunter” type guy and he has a metal detector, the Micronta 3001 with a pair of tv antennas added to the end. I’ll get some pictures up here ASAP.
It’s probably the same Modern Props rental piece (considering both films were made about a year apart). It’s likely that they had a variety of interchangeable pieces for it. I kind of like the white coil cord, though…
That piece has the original post in it, the KUD’s post has been cut off. It’d be possible to swap posts but not worth it. It’s likely just a coincidence, both productions needed a cheap “scanning device” and the metal detector with some greeblies foots the bill.
The KUD was probably not a MP rental, I would hope not ( Ugly) , High Spirits was filmed in England and Ireland. What’s cool is it’s another paranormal investigation film that uses a simular prop. The coil cord attaches to a shoulder strapped unit with a tape recorder and a few other parts. There’s a few other “tools” the guy uses like a hand held wind gauge.
