Trap Lights and Door Motors..

Just curious, but how much should a good pair of trap lights and door motors cost? I did a Google Search, and came up with one hyperdine labs for a door servo system. That’s around $50’s. Their light set was around $100, but that sounds a tad expensive…

just curious who has the best parts for the best deals. Begining final assembly of new trap kit shortly..(see, this one didn’t take three months! :o))

As far as I know Hyperdyne is the only person making trap motor circuits. For lights it’s either Hyperdyne or Jupiter.

Hyperdyne has always been expensive, he doesn’t want everyone and their mother asking him for kits, especially since he focuses on other fandoms mostly, so he makes them worth his time.

Hmm..has anyone actually assembled the motor system here? I’m assuming it doesn’t come with instructions…curious as to how it goes… I want to wire this one so it’s opened by the push pedal.

I’ll look up one of Jupiters For sale threads on trap lights if there are any. Hopefully he’s cheaper than $100

thanks

I hooked up a Hyperdyne light kit and servo controller on my trap and as of right now it is the best kit IMO.

It does come with instructions on how to hook the two boards up together. there is soldering involved as well as assembly.

Its cool to have a trap with opening and closing doors but it would be much easier and cheaper to hook up a flashing led and constant on yellow rectangular LEDs.

I just purchased one of the new Jupiter trap light kits. You’ll have to contact the owner, Christian, directly though. It’s not a listed item on his site. It’s under $100 dollars.

He has a trap light kit on his site but it’s not the same. If you find Filandrius’s trap build thread…he has this kit in his trap.

OK, I just checked out the Jupiter version. It looks rather simple to install…

But wound up ordering that Hyperdine lab version, along with the servo and motor board…I liked the extra trap lights beneath the door… hopefully it’s a fast shipping and easy install..

thanks

Trap 2 is assembled… The Hyperdine Labs motor kit and light kit has also arrived…I’m procrastinating because the hole drilling for the lights is rather difficult…One wrong move, and you’ve got a big hole to fix… But once that is done, trap will look rather cool…

Only two mistakes this time around compared to the first one…has a much smoother look…
