Trap Pedal Finished

Here is the finished Pedal prop, my first prop so I’m pretty pleased with how it came out. Not weathered yet as that will be down to how my son finally wants it (it’s part of his Xmas prezzie).

Thanks go out to Nick, Colin and Sean for all their assistance with this project…Cheers guys!

What did you find to use as the spring under the pedal?

Very Very cool, good work!!! :crunch:

Nice attention to detail in every aspect!

And I’m with Gareee on where did you find the spring/boot? I’ve been looking for those everywhere.

I did find an RV sewer kit at walmart fo5 $5 or so, and it looks like that might fit the bill for that pedal sprig.. I need to see how big its supposed to be thouugh.. I think this is 3".

Very clean! I love it!

Thanks to those who have taken time to actually commented, much appreciated guys.

The bellow is just over 2.5" internal diameter, the pedal is 3". The bellow is a rubber gaiter from the steering rack of a car ( Peugeot if I remember), I then cut down to the required size.

I wanted a “fixed” prop, or a non moving pedal as this is purely a display piece, the pics below should explain more:

Hmm… so is the od of that rubber hose deal 3" If so, I found 3" hose readily available… from walmart.. its a 3" rv septic line… 10 feet for $5 or so.

That looks awesome Keith! Your son is a very lucky guy!

:crunch:

You’ve earned it! Brilliant idea regarding the spring part as well, now just got to try and source one of them for me

Fantastic work Keith! you’re son is very lucky to have a dad like you. And im happy i could help you out

I just scored a dust devil set at goodwill today with 2" hose.. I think that will work perfectly. If it does, I’ll offer lengths of it here.
