So I had been asked by several people to do a retrospective of Dragon Con 2011for everyone. It was the 25th anniversary and it was one hell of a party. I’ve said it last year too, but Dragon Con is like a nerdy Mardi Gras. There’s so much nerdom there on display, its insane. And its a good time.

This year, I made my pilgrimage to Atlanta with some of my dear, dear friends, Mr. “noslliT” Tillson, Fernando “XxEctoxX”, and LIGB’s very own Chris Haritos along with other friends and girlfriends. Our adventure begins on September 1st, at 9pm in Queens, NYC. We show up at our meeting point and Fernando’s “Tribute Pack” is still in pieces. Needless to say, we had to put that sucker together. We fully assembled the pack, wand and lights in an 8 hour period. Then the fun began at 5am: we began our 16 hour drive to Atlanta, GA.

DAY 2: Saturday, September 4

This day started off tired because both Tillson and myself had to spend 2 hours in line registering for the day so we could get in the parade this morning. Needless to say, 4 hours of sleep wasn’t enough.

But we arrived at the parade gathering 5 minutes before it started. Some random person caught us running down the parade route to get there in time.

After the death march that was the parade (mainly cuz we were all freaking dying by the end), we returned to our room to hibernate before the evening’s festivities.

Fernando did need some chicken tenders heated up around 3pm though:
