I am in the UK - looking for a frame for my pack, don’t want to spend £40 having one shipped from the USA and was wondering if anyone has found an economical alternative?
Has anyone looked at the clansman frame.
BTW not that fussed at being accurate with the pack, want it for Halloween to be able to accompany my girls trick or treating..
Any help gratefully recieved.
PS I have also popped a thread in Wanted incase I annoy any mods…

Not sure about any alternative frames but i’d check a local army surplus store near you i got my alice frame from one lasy year and it cost me £35.
Checked them (all I know of) they all said they havn’t seen ALICE packs in years…
I don’t know about the UK, but you can still buy ALICE packs from surplus and outdoor stores in Germany.
They have a smaller frame than the original military ALICE packs with no mounting holes in it. I had to drill the holes by myself.
Thats the shop I bought it from. Maybe there are also onlineshops in the UK that sell them, but I don’t know about that.
