Just about to start on making a pair of costumes for this year’s Halloween. So far I’ve got the most of the pack electronics and a flight suit on the way from eBay, so a long way left to go…
Hi All, no doubt I’ll be asking you for hints and tips over the next few weeks.
I was considering getting a rush job on getting the patches sewn to the uniform… but without a Pack and proper elbow pads I won’t be bothering.
I’ll just wear my Ghostbusters T-shirt instead…
That, or my Hook & Ladder 8 one.
I’ll just be wearing my GB2 t-shirt.
I’ll be carrying my aluminium Motherboard to be signed
It’s an unwritten belief that by proxy, Ghostbusters fans are a little geeky…
But wouldn’t lugging around a aluminium motherboard for a Pack at a convention to get it signed by Ernie Hudson be incredibly geeky?
I might take along my ‘Zeddemore’ cover for 88MPH’s comic, or my GB DVD (Box and cover, not the disc) but you’d expect that of easy-to-carry merchandise.

ppl can think wot they want it really doesn’t bother me :roll: When my pack is complete I don’t think people things “that’s geeky” Im sure they will say “wow thats cool”
If i can get my PKE done by the time the show rolls around, i’d get the back of that signed…

considering going along to MK, to see Ernie and get my pack signed (will be complete by then)…but won’t have the uniform done by then so I would just stick my GB t-shirt on. Can’t miss an opportunity like this!!!
last year i caught Robert Picardo on his way back from the loo in that little coffe shop. :twisted: maybe i’ll get lucky with Ernie too.
Well, I still think getting a Pack signed is a little weird as you could lose the signature through normal wear and use.
Ah well, who knows? Maybe a bunch of us would be able to get together for a photo… I know my day would be complete even if it wasn’t a replica I owned that I was stood beside.

Just wondering. A friend of mine had Dan Ackroyd sign his pack a while back on the side of the cyclotron (in silver paint marker). It’s a great conversation piece and the location where he signed it doesn’t see any wear. May I suggest when you get him to sign it have the area you want signed masked off so to be sure your pack frame doesn’t “cover it up” when you build it. I think it’s a great idea and I’m sure Ernie will be flattered that your lugging around that MB for him to sign!!

I’d get Ernie to sign the back of the pack somewhere and then simply cover that area with a piece of clear perspex to protect it…I just think it would be so cool to have my pack signed by one of the cast…what a talking point!
Sounds like there will be a few of us at MK, so it would be great to meet up with fellow board members 8)

I think i’ll be going on the Friday, because having spoken to my local purveyors of paper-n-ink goodness, saturday is a ‘meat market’. Of course, if Ernie won’t be there on friday, I may have to rethink this…
Yeah, friday is undoubtably the best day if you can get time off work, and if you stay in like a hotel or something, you can go saturday morning as well and see Ernie.
