I thought it a good idea to start a thread for those of us in the UK so we can link up & help each other out. As I’m learning its a real pain in the ass get parts together for my proton pack so I figured if there is anyone in the same boat we could all help each other. Feel free to post here if your from the UK then we all know whos out there!!

Im in south manchester, built my first pack in 2005, smashed it up and rebuilt a MK2 last year,Which turned out nice.
I sold it to a guy who has since had it signed by none other than Ernie Hudson, Exciting.
I have started slowly collecting parts for a new improved lighter pack as the other one just got too heavy.
This time ill be building 2 at the same time. I just need to start them.
Im waiting for it to warm up as it is effin freezin here at the mo.

Rich, kicking it in essex right now. Planning on building quite a few packs in future. I used to build arcade cabinets for fun, so a proton pack cant be too much trouble. Although, I’m probably going to have to manufacture some of the parts myself. If it comes to that, i’ll let you guys know.

Im having trouble finding a pair of googles for my ecto goggles I want to get them as accurate as possible. Any one help?

The frames used for the Ecto Googles are PVS-5s from real night vision goggles… you may have difficulty finding real ones but I’ve seen people replicate them… failing that I’ve seen some pretty reasonable goggles that use welding goggles.
Simon from St.Helens…built 3 packs and uniforms a few years ago complete with sound effects and facility to fire silly string from Asda of all places LOL. Packs getting a bit battered now and need a overhaul and need to replace the battery packs in them with a sealed 12v lead acid sometime. Hope to get some pics on here soon.
Packs were frabicated from wood and made a few bits myself.

Live in Maidstone in Kent , Am about to make my first pack , the only part causing me concern is the plastic/fibre
main body mouding . Do people buy these or make their own ??. If not looks like i will build out of mdf , am worried that it might make it too heavy .

Hi, I live in Billericay, didn’t realise there were others so close!
Built my first pack from scratch last september for halloween. I’m a Tech teacher and am now planning a fan film set in my school so i’m currently building another 3 packs and costumes plus a trap. Would be interested in hearing any techniques i may have missed. I don’t like buying parts as i prefer to make my own which isn’t too difficult for me as i have my own workshop at work. I’m sure in a few weeks i’ll be taking back that statement after trying to make a load more imitation dale resistors.
I was wondering if anybody out there had sold a pack to somebody in the U.S. and if so is it a pain in the @ss with the packaging and delivery.

AIM FOR THE FLAT TOP!! Hey all you fellow Ghost Heads!! I’m Bill from Warrington, which if you dont know if based inbetween Manchester and Liverpool. I really want to start building my own pack this year, was thinking of buying one of paranorman for quite along time but have never had the spare cash, at least if i build my own i can do it bit by bit with what cash i have available. The only thing thats stopping me getting going is i dont know how to go about getting my main vacuum formed body? Theres one on ebay at the moment but ti deosnt look very good, if anyone could help me out with that i would very much appreciate it. When ive got that its all systems go (i think?).
Theres an aluminium motherboard on ebay at the moment which i will purchase and alot of parts are for sale on here. Then the next thing is where to get the body for the proton wand from? Advice anyone…
