Which is why if need be, we’d use the larger gate that they have at the side of the barriers for people in wheelchairs.
We’d have to be wary of the crowds, but I don’t know how practical it would be to walk or bus between some of the locations. London in the Summer, in a flightsuit with a 30+ pound Proton Pack, will definitely be a warm trip in the best of conditions.
yes, if you filmed us doing different things, and after edit it into a GB montage that be great.
also would it be possible to move this thread to our site, http://www.theukghostbusters.co.uk, that way every post gets put in order. and no one misses one on either site.
yer shoulda explained better, for some reason some of our members cant join or log on gbfans, so as this thread moved on i was gonna keep updating, the thread on our site, to keep everyone informed.
and vice versa update this thread with there posts,
Mark, up to you, but can you unlock it, i had good intentions. i wanted to do a better job at organising this than Lisa
Kamachi, lol sry i assumed you wanted to film us. hopefully there will be plenty of good pictures took. and if some1 else wants to film there more than welcome to.
Rob from UKGB is bringing his fiance along, also dressed in gear, but she is 5 months pregnant and he would like to keep the walking to a minimum,
based on Bens plans, if half we walk and half we travel, that should be cool anyway.
Meeting place? i like bens plans, but id opt for the london eye to be the meeting point, reason being, if il start time is 11 or 12 we want to avoid changing of the guard, thats the time they do it in windsor. and its right next door to the movieum, then over the bridge to Big ben, then down to buckingham Palace, wave at the queen, from then on follow Bens plans.
It’s actually Geordi’s suggestions of locations, I just tidied them up into a logical route using the geography and transport links.
I actually also had a thought about starting points… and in some ways I wondered why HMV shouldn’t be where we kick things off, seeing as it is in benefit of the game promotion. Maybe spend between a half hour to a hour there, then maybe make our way down to Trafagar Square and Parliament. An idea to consider, anyway.
It would allow people to pick up a copy of the game and have some sort of ward who would travel with us look after them, and if people decided not to buy a copy there then it’d be no problem.
how do! i will def be there with big stupid camera, hope i dont get mugged! my train wont get there till 10.40 (if its not delayed) and then ive got to get from st pancras to where ever we are meeting! i suggest we have a walk around so i can take some pics with landmarks in and then find a nice weatherspoons for some grub and a beer seeing as im coming all the way from south yorkshire! i havent been to london for years so im counting on you guys to give the guided tour (and point out the nice pubs, could we find out if there are any haunted ones that would make some great photos!) Are there any firehouses too? someone needs to bring a toy ecto-1 for ‘close ups’ and if someones got an inflatable slimer that would be sweet! that enough ideas yet?lol!
There’s one on the road from Parliament to Trafalgar Square that I stopped at with my University course two years ago. Was definitely a nice place… and oddly had a playing card stuck to the ceiling - and this was one of those 20 foot high ceilings!
Mark, I only have one recommendation for parking in London: Don’t even try.
Seriously though, I don’t know the capitol enough to know if there are any good spots… but I’m concerned about parking if you had to settle for a street-side meter rather than a multistory because I don’t think you can buy several hours worth of time on those, could you?
Edit: Okay, after checking flickr, if they’re all handled the same, the street-side meters chare £1 per hour, 20p for 12 minutes.
