I know it’s something like 4 months away, but does anyone know if there’s going to be a “midnight launch” for the video game? Would be cool to get a bunch of UK Busters staking out HMV or Game!!
I have no idea how there going to laucnh it, but count me in for whatever they do
I once bought Madden during a midnight release. I’ve never heard of other games doing it, but I’ll be in line if they do this for Ghostbusters.

My friend Rich and I are in talks at the moment with Atari’s promo team and we are hoping to put together a BIG promo in London.
Idea devised by Rich we are hoping to start off with a meet and greet with punters who are buying the game at our very own stall setup in London’s HMV near oxford circus after this a press call outside hoping to get some tv people there as well.
After this we will do some fun filming we want to get someone to film a few of us running around London and doing the dance to Ghostbusters theme in Trafalgar Sq where we will deffinatly have pics of us taken by tourists and if we can give them leaflets to buy the game etc then put all the footage into a montage to the GB theme.
We hope also to get ECTO 1.
Also we hope to do a little tour promoting the game in shopping centres around the UK.

I don’t know if the highstreet stores will open at midnight to sell it as the game may not be popular enough to warrent paying staff a time and a half to call them in. However just pop down to a 24 hr Tesco or Asda. Thats what I do for midnight releases.

OMG, I would love to go, but I don’t know if it’ll be possible to travel all the way to London with my kit! (which should be complete by then!)

yeah kit is a hinderence unless u want to drive it I pick people up and so can rich if they close or on the way though.

ill probably get dropped of, or ill take the train, but getting on the underground with a proton pack, is bad. if your fussy on the whole bad thing, its because youll probably end up breaking the pack
For people far away and if they can be really bothered, you could try a coach? National Express etc. Your gear should be safe. I don’t know… Personally I’ll probably drive. Don’t forget the Congestion Charge and severe costs of parking and lack of. Still, it’s a long way off yet. Enough time to sort something out!

I am very lucky as my sister is a teacher and lives in London. I am sure she would accomadate me for a few days. I can do any day/time. Being a part of something like this would be a privelage.
