Uniform build start

Ok, this will basicly be the start of my uniform build, I’m still waiting for it all to show up and I’ll add pictures when I do, So far I ordered the no ghost patch, the flight suit, the belt and the boots…which i’m waiting to arrive. I’ve also done a search around seeing if there are any reasonably priced people who do standard patches online, since the ones on Esty are very wrong especially for Gb2. So lets start with the Mock up of the tag I’m sending to these people

I got the dimensions from another post, 120mmx48mm. I based the lettering on Ray’s tag because of the same amount of letters, so the lettering is 98mmx30mm. Font is Franklin Gothic Medium Condensed.

What boots did you end up going with?

And for the GB2 name patch go with Pepi located here http://www.bonanza.com/booths/Pepi I don’t see the custom name patch up on the site right now but if you message him he will make it for you no problem.

Here’s a shot of my GB2 patch from him, easily the most accurate GB2 patch out there:

Those I had to skim in the accuracy department, but I found these that look pretty decent

Those will work out wonderfully, glad to see your suit coming together!

Plus 1 on the Pepi patch. I ordered mine from him too. It should be here soon.

Do your feet a favour and get a good insole for your boots. Makes a world of difference!

I’ll second that as well. I went though a set of boots and insoles, and one of the first things I got with my second pair of boots was a set of even beter ones than I had the last time. Really, almost a necessity if you’re going to be on your feet at all.

I will third the insoles. I work assault boots on a daily basis so its really second nature to add em to my GB kit.

Your feet will thank you

I too recommend the Pepi GB2 tags, here’s a shot of mine

Today is a good day, According to Fedex my jumpsuit is out for delivery, I ordered my nametag (and an original noghost, not sure which one I want on the suit) from Pepi, and I have a clear course of action on other things. After the uniform is complete, I intend to build a set of goggles, since their cheapest, then buy a PKE. Then it’ll be time to start the pack. Still debating between Arduino or GBFans for the electronics though.

Lookie what came today!!!

That was fast! How’s the fit?

Can’t try it on till after work :frowning:

Worry about electronics last. They don’t mean squat if there’s nothing to put them inside of.

The suit looks good!

I know I still like to think ahead, also I had a thought about the logo. Since I have both logos if I want to swap out, if I use Velcro it should work, but would it look bad?

I have a friend who switches logos with velcro. Personally, I don’t like it because the edges of the logos tend to curl outwards because they’re not secured. Just stick with GB2 and sew it on.

If I do only one it’ll be probably Ghostbusters one logo not Ghostbusters two I did not like that logo

I debated the same on which logo. In the end I went with the Gb2 logo out of nostalgia. That was the first movie I ever saw in a theatre and was my favourite of the 2 until I got older and could understand the movies better. To it doesn’t make sense in real life for a company to do that, but in the movie it works.

I too think the velcro’d patches do look a little sloppy over time. I vote sew.

Thought, if I take the gb2 patch as victory or peace instead of 2, put it on an armband I could wear it on special occasions

Armbands never work as well as they do on paper.

Hmm we’ll have to see how warm it is in the cold see if there’s a need for a coat… If not gb2 can go on my normal coat
