While I was perusing the interenet for the old 88mph test pencils, I came across this:

If you click the image you’ll be taken to his blog with more. I also foudn these after looking a little more:
I also found this a while ago and found out it was also part of a pitch that was approved by Sony for a comic:
Out of interest has anybody else come across anything like these?
Interesting finds, those… Ryan Howe really took his time to accurately depict the equipment.
And pretty cool to see Cthulhu make a reappearance, even if in a unpublished story
That second image is concept art/a pencil sketch of one of the enemies from the video game.
88 MPH…
I wish they could have continued. It was, without a doubt the BEST Ghostbusters Comic I’ve ever read. I still do occasionally.
No, it isn’t. I worked with Andres on the Ninja Turtle comics. It’s pitch art.
Huh. Interesting little unproduced project. Wonder what the finished product would’ve been like.
Hey! I know you!
Yea, you look familiar as well. :garrett:
holy shit! Best Venkman ever! It’s by the same guy that did the Spiderwitch up in my first post!
Second that on the Pete artwork.
Amazing stuff all around. Wished 88 MPH would had the chance to continue.
I’ve not read the 88mph comic series, I should try to find it, that artwork looks pretty good. That Venkman image is fantastic!
If finding more and more people recently that have not read the 88mph sereies and its somewhat suprising. It was a rather big deal at the time considering what else we had offered to us.
Could just be younger Ghostbusters fans. Chances are a lot of them might’ve been at the age where they didn’t know so much about comics or the comic industry, etc.
■■■■■■ and dead end promises?
Mmmm…■■■■■■…
I mean.. umm…
Darned those unproduced works!
By and in large I’m glad 88 Failed though, since as good as the mini was, the stuff we’ve gotten from IDW has been great.
The Cthulhu image is awesome! As is the Venkman and Spiderwitch!
Andres just posted a colored version of that Venkman picture someone posted above. I reckon it’s pretty damn solid (but he’s a mate, so I’m biased
)
That Peter Venkman drawing looks even better in color! Thanks for sharing.
cool!
I agree! It’s so difficult to make people look ‘real’. Especially a full body picture like that!
