Vintage Funkzilla Shell - SOLD

For sale here is a fiberglass shell made by Funkzilla. I bought it on Proptopia back in 2008, and even then it had quite a bit of history, most likely produced in 2007 or 2006, which makes it one of the oldest fiberglass shells in the community.

I had planned on simply giving it a new coat of paint, but when I brought it to Vincenzo330, and he was fascinated by this glimpse into early pack building.

I know a lot of proppers are interested in the progression of this hobby, and the Funkzilla shell is definitely a benchmark, historically-speaking.

It is far from perfect, but I figured I would make it available to see if this is something any prop-archaeologists would be interested in owning.

If this is up your alley, let me know! Asking $50 plus shipping.

This thing is still available. Fifty bucks. Any takers?

$50? What’s the shipping? I’ll take it pending a shipping quote.

Darn. I go to take a shower with the intention of responding to this thread after I get out and I’m beaten to the punch. Well if Krenzy does not take it please let me know. If he does, oh well you snooze, you lose.

I’m definitely taking it  PM me with an amount and a PayPal address please.

$50. What a steal. I would have bought it for $50.

The shell just arrived an hour and a half ago. Its exactly as pictured, only a little better! Thanks Kev!

Quick question: I’ve never worked with fiberglass so what works best to fill in the cracks and damaged areas? Bondo?

I’m torn about what to do with Dan’s touch…to paint or not to paint? I’d like to properly restore the shell and recreate a pack, not let it sit.

I would leave Dan’s signature alone. That’s one of the reasons I would have bought the shell.

As for repairs, Bondo works. Or some of that plumbers epoxy stuff that Vincenzo gave me for small fixes to the Bigi330 shell.
