hey guys, after years of not being able too, i finally managed to aquire my proton pack, and i’m very happy with it. now i’m pretty dumb, and i know i have a lot to learn so i’m hoping you guys can help me out. My pack is wired for lights, eventually i want to put sound in, but for now, lights are fine. my wand i just discovered is also wired, but not sparking. it’s powered by an ethernet cable feeding into it from the pack, which i thought was pretty clever…i’m guessing maybe the end in the pack is loose or disconnected. i haven’t opened it up, on account of my allen keys are missing…
anyways, i opened my wand and took a few pictures, does anyone recognize what i have in here? and any ideas of how difficult it’s going to be when i decided to put a sound board in?
k…well, when playing around with the lightlboard my gilfriend inquired what was burning. It was then that I saw a few wisps of smoke wafting out of the back of my pack. Now I dont see any damage but now im not getting any power to my wand. All other lights work. Does anything look not right here? 
Precisely. Now, all the lights are still functional, whatever was going on in the top right corner is only messing up the power to the wand. Is there an easy way to replace this board? is it commonor is it a special kit piece?
You can still get R2DEVO kits. I highly suggest you read up on the manual before you attempt anything else if “playing around” makes you fry half of your board. Someone more familiar with that kit can hopefully chime in and tell you what version you have. Where did you get your pack?
The kicker is, i got the pack, and while i dont claim to know everything, im not entirely stupid. I noticed that a few of the cables on the wand were loose and i started to piece it together. Everything looked right, and i wasnt moving anything around the board in the pack. When i got the pack, i was told it had been sitting for two years, i dont know if that particular capaciter just decided to go to capaciter heaven or what, but im not entirely sure it had a whole lot to do with my jackassery.
so, is the r2devo kit, the first board i posted or it it a combo of the two? Im thinking i only need to replace the one.
