The bitched out on protesting the Aurora theater shooting memorial, which was a world-stage event, and you think these guys will bother showing up for the funeral of an actor?
Congratulations on giving them the attention they were trying to get. They wanted to make you mad and you let it happen. Good work. Keep it up, fuel that fire, keep helping their words reach more and more people instead of letting them shrivel in silence and darkness, all alone.
As disgusting and hateful their speech is it is within their constitutional rights to say it. The 1st amendment protects speech you don’t like.
Frankly, they are media attention whores that very rarely intend to show up at the events they claim. They simply wait for something big to happen to make ridiculous threats, getting people riled up so their name (and message) gets in the press. More often than not, ignoring them is the best course of action.

Maybe we as a community ride like the biker gang that locks arms and creates a wall to keep these Westboro people out at soldiers funerals. Locking arms with a wall of packs and jumpsuits would really be amazing to see.
That would be a really cool visual even more so to see an army of Ecto’s going up there but really why bother giving those hate filled scum bags that disguise themselves as a church any more news coverage than they already get ? It is what they want. It really is what they need. Without it they would dry up like any other cow pie in a field and turn to dust. I really loathe the fact that vile creatures such as them and really any hate group are protected to say what they want even at the cost of hurting people verbally, emotionally, and maybe even physically. One day someone might take matters a little too far and take one of them out. Bad thing is that person would be on trial for it. Im on vine and saw the 2 videos they did and i couldn’t believe it they did it, Harold was one of the nicest people around im going to report there vine.
First, the church rarely makes good on its threats these days. I cant believe people still dont get this, how is it so hard to grasp? I use the Aurora memorial because its the perfect example: huge media coverage, thousands of people, and less than a day’s drive from Topeka. They still didnt show, because all they have to do is post a threat and it makes people go into a goddamn tailspin - which is enough for them and exactly what they want.
Secondly, the wbc isnt some massive congregation. They arent a force to be reckoned with. Their “pickets” usually consist of less than four people, half of which are teens or kids. My car, by itself, effectively blocked the group from view when I parked it in front of them. Wanting to rally an army of people or a fleet of cars really shows how **poor of a grip on reality the people who get upset about this stuff have.

Everything Kevin said was spot on. I’ll also add that WBC does more than feed off bad vibes, they financially feed off of those who show up to counter-protest them and overstep the line. They make money off of the lawsuits they bring against those who try to stop them. I have to wonder if they even believe in the things they have on their signs, they only show up to provoke and ( if they’re lucky ) you’ll swing on them so they can sue you in court. Your response to them actually feeds their income. They found a way to make trolling profitable.
