What funny or interesting things have you noticed in GB: TVG

In the firehouse kitchen: the cupholders over the counter someone hung a donut!

The Damn Angles! They Kill!

Most of these have been documented before, but…

I like the employee of the month chart. Venkman won every month, except one, in which Winston won.

During the missions, if you disregard their instructions and follow the wrong 'buster around, like in the hotel for example, the guys have little quips of dialog to tell you to go away. For example, if you follow Peter when you are supposed to trail Ray, Peter tells you to get lost, because you’re creepier than the ghost.

Although the game takes place in the 90’s, the World Trade Center is missing from renderings of NYC.

You can find smashed-up parts of Ecto 1-A in the garage.

In the firehouse, the infamous “Conglaturation !!!” screen from the old video game can be found on one of the screens.

There are kid’s drawings to “Uncle Egon”

And the ultimate easter egg that isn’t even possible to find… one of the game’s artists, skankerzero, confirmed the existence of a box of discarded uniforms under the containment unit a la citizen ghost — which DOES exist but you can’t see because another designer accidentally covered it up with other items!

fossilized art found a hanging person? skull? something in the sewer.

i wish we could tag people so they could see it, this would be a good tine for that because he can explain it better.

skanker zero said that was up to interpretation and probably connected to the third Key to the City in Peter’s office. I’d have the link but forums.ghostbusters.org is still protesting I think.

9/11 is still something I haven’t seen addressed in GB continuity. Maybe it has, I just missed it.

Yeah, with all the crap of them telling us not to put the Twin Towers in the game, I put the 3rd key there as kind of an indication that something else large had happened in the city.

In the firehouse basement before you bust your first ghost, look on the work bench right outside the the door leading to the sub basement. You will see an PKE meter a la “The Real Ghostbusters” and you will see a Trap a la “Extreme Ghostbusters”

Maybe in this “version of reality” the two buildings got sucked into the ghost-world/other dimension kind of like the RGB episode “you cants take it with you” or something else paranormal as appose to terrorist. Interesting those I had never noticed that.

Didn’t the Twin Towers get swallowed up by something in one of the last Extreme Ghostbusters episodes? The one where Egon has modified a garbage truck as a trap, I think.

I always wanted to think the towers were missing due to error. From what I am reading, I now gather it was a purposeful decision by… someone. I reached my limit as far as being able to tolerate “politically correct” B.S. quite some time ago, so I am not going to even look into this story further. It’ll just get me pissed off about something that is too late to do anything about…

Have they ever referenced how the statue of liberty got back to liberty island or is now a statue again. I always thought that it coming to life was a huge stretch.

In the original script and in the comic book version there was a scene at the end of part 2 where the GBs are being honored at the statue where the guys realize when they put the statue back, the torch is in the wrong hand. (there’s a clip at the end of the movie but no dialogue)

You’re right…ghosts are fine, slime is fine, portable nuclear reactors are fine, humans living in paintings are fine, humans turning into ghosts to kidnap babies are fine, people turning into demon dogs are fine, giant marshmellow men are fine, Sumarian Gods coming to NY are fine, and carrying thorazine on a first date is fine, but making an inanimate object move under its own power is going too far!.

99.9% of the time it works every time.

0.1% of the time, death. :frowning:

Yeah, “Back in the Saddle, Part 2” and the towers were one of many things to be absorbed by S.I.D.N.E.E. but once the Ghostbusters trapped it, Twin Towers and everything and everyone else returned back to its rightful place.

Thanks

No I agree with ecto88mph. It’s all explainable in terms of hauntings, even Stay Puft, but not the statue of liberty. The torch in the wrong hand is not even the biggest problem. It’s a steel construction and does not have joints or a skeleton. The torch isn’t an independant object of the hand. If you could get a supernatural forcefield to move the thing there is no way it would move by walking or swap the torch from one hand to the other.

That whole scene was the biggest problem of GB2 feeling like a dumb movie. Staypuft was a stretch aswell. Those 2 scenes are for me the dumber aspects of GB.

All those additional props throughout the game were one of the best touches. Skanker, if you’re still lurking and feel the urge to share more, do you happen to have models/close-ups of those props? Would love to see 'em in more detail (including those that are unseen).

To be fair, the Statue of Liberty didn’t ‘come to life’.

They sprayed the interior with mood slime. The slime was shown earlier to dance and move to music.

Essentially, the mood slime just moved and bent the statue. Walking is just perpetual ‘falling forward’. That’s how I look at it at least. Everything else that showed the statue having ‘life’ I chalk up to ‘Hollywood movie making’ and ‘plot convenience’.

I do agree that the Statue of Liberty scene was one of the sillier aspects of both movies.

Yeah, I have a full copy of the game’s source and engine. I can always look through it and see what I can find. I can’t share everything at once because all the fun would be over too quick.

Maybe I’ll share all the multiplayer heads that were never put into the game.

oooh, I like the secret multiplayers heads idea. also can you give us a better view of the box of uniforms?
