It was $45 on Amazon about 3 weeks ago - New game, old game and soundtrack- that’s a great deal. Also, don’t forget to get your hands on the SDCC Alice miniMate!
From the reviews, I can honestly say that yes duke is not that good. The graphics aren’t outstanding, the loading times are a pain in the a$$ and the ability to only carry 2 weapons is annoying, but if want something to laugh at and generally have fun then I recommend it.
As I’m not a serious gamer, I like it because its different to COD or Battlefield. The multiplayer is great when your with a bunch of friends online and just want to mess about and have a laugh, and for some reason I’m better at it online than COD or Battlefield.
Not that I would knock COD or Battlefield as some people have done when commenting on this game, as both are such great games and will always stand at the top as the most recommended games to play. But for my own personal preference, I like duke and will continue to play it. It just wont be everyones cup of tea.
been back on Goldeneye wii lately, but thinking about picking up something old…maybe Majora’s Mask or Chrono Trigger.
well right now i’m trying to 100% Lego Star Wars: The Compete Saga. its a lot of fun and it has a lot of gameplay.
Fallout: New Vegas.
I love it.
Are the majority of people here on Xbox OR PS3?
Right now I’m playing L.A. Noire and GT5. GT5 is awesome with the Logitech PS3 wheel.
Catherine - PS3
Well seeing as I’m on base now, using their “FREE” interwebz, I can no longer play socom/battlefield online.
Well, no worries, as I always have a way to entertain myself. But Lately, I’ve been playing oldschool PSone Classics.
For instance. I’m 24 hrs into FF7 (mind you, the only final fantasy game I’ve ever played was 8). Must say, Polygons aside, its pretty legit. Secondly, I’ve played and beaten MSG1 - 4… for like the 14th time. Lastly. Once FF7 is done, I’m probably gonna either play Resident Evil 2, or Castlevania SOTN.
FF7 is a ground breaking RPG. Won best game of the year 2 years in a row. I’m pretty sure its the only game to do that.
I always stayed clear of FF games, as the fan boys alone, annoyed the ever living p*ss out of me. BUT, as I stated before, FF7 is pretty legit.
I played FF7 start to finish. Except for the nicely rendered cut scenes, the game didn’t impress at all.
I’m actually kinda proud to say that I’ve never played a FF game… ever. I never got into the JRPG’s. I’ve never been a fan of games where you can’t do your own fighting. That’s probably why I’ve always loved the Zelda series. If yo can’t fight for yourself, you’re screwed. The one and only JRPG I ever managed to enjoy was Chrono Trigger. That game is truly epic. Everything about that game is astounding, all the way from the art, music, story, pacing, playability, and RE-playability. Secret of Mana is… okay… however, Chrono Trigger will never be topped.
I still play chrono trigger on a emulator on my phone
Its too bad the sequel was horrible…
as far as Final Fantasy games go, you cant go wrong with FF: Mystic Quest (I enjoyed it, anyway). FF III (US ver, in Japan I think its FFVI) and FF VII was epic, I wish I had my old gateway computer with windows 95 or 98 so I could play it again. corruptparadise, are you playing FF7 on playstation or computer?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Good?
Right now, it’s all about Angry Birds
I’m playing it on both my PS3 and PSP (psone classic). Will be done with it this weekend. Doing all the side quests to get the ultimate weapons and such. After VII I’ll either get into IV or VIII.
I like it. You’re free to do the missions how you want. Either sneak in and knock people out or go in guns blazing. You have different augmentations you can upgrade to help with your play style as well. Only part way through the story, but it’s interesting so far. Definitely a game worth checking out.
