What size switches are used in the exoray Gun light kit? I would really like to drill the holes in the gun. I just need to know the size to make the holes. I do not have the cash right now to get one, but intend to before long. I just dont want this to hold me up. If someone can list a radioshack part that is equivelland to the switches on his kit then I will just go and get one of those (well one toggle and one momentary) and then use that as a guide. Also the LEDs. Are they .5mm?
Radioshack has all their switched and hat lights in a few drawers now.. just look at the pics of various packs, and match them up. There really aren’t additional sizes to get. Toggle switches are in the auto section of walmart as well, unless you’d prefer to pay 3 times as much for them at radio shack.
But from my experience you might need to enlarge the holes a little to make for an easier fit, don’t do that until you have the switches in hand though and can test fit…
The wall or thickness of the mounting location should be 1/8" max, so if you have 1/4" thick walls on your gun box you will need to hollow them out from behind…
The SLOBLO and the front one on the top of the gun are 3mm the rest are indeed 5mm…
I have never see the right size ones at Walmart they only carry standard, not the correct submini size from what I have seen…
I never saw the sub mini switches anywhere around here, but then I lie in the boodocks as well.
Maybe that explains why I had issues getting the labels to fit near the switches on the gunblocks?
I checks at radio shack here, lowe’s, home depot, walmart, car parts stores, everywhere I could think of, and all everyone had was the size walmart carries.
Yeah it will certainly complicate things, the switches should be a stocked item at most Radio Shacks, chances of finding them at hardware stores is slim…
The one here is actually getting rid of most of it’s electronic parts! I was amazed, since that’s pretty much my ONLY reason for shopping radio shack stores. The gal there said the chain was looking for more mass market appeal products to carry in the stores.
The last thing I need it radio shack stores that are just standalone versions of walmart’s electronics departments.
