Does anyone know where I can get a leather key chain in the UK.
They’re not hard to make. A trip to a hardware store will get you the clips and a fabric store will get you the loop material and snaps.
I got some cheap ones from those wallets that are attached to a chain, however I wouldn’t recommend them as one of them didn’t last very long after I’d gotten it.
I highly recommend the ones Colin sells at Multimediamayhem. The extended wait to get them is worth it, as they’re excellent quality.
I’m trying to make my own at the moment, I’ve bought a press stud kit from ebay, I’m going to pick up a cheapo leather belt from somewhere like the quid shop then carefully cut it into shape. You can pick up the rest of the things like the D ring pretty easily on ebay.

I am thinking of getting a couple of key cain belt loops with hook. I have seen some on multimediamayhem, has anyone bought them from him and are they good, he has different versions.

I ended up opting to make my own!
I was lucky enough to buy of 4 of the “venkman style” (link) lobster clips from a fellow ghost-head and I only need to make two sets. I quite like the look of egon’s loops. One “full” D-Ring Loop+clip/ring and One D-Ring only: (right).
I’m currently undecided about what configuration I’m going to use on my belt… there are scenes in the film where venkman has two full sets (holding his wand at the front and back so it’s horizontal across his waist) then scenes like the link above where he appears to just have one.
I’m going to make up 4 “sets” but I need two of them for myself and a friend.

If I decide to only have one of the “lobster clips” on my belt rather than two I may have two sets “spare”. I’m still waiting for all the parts to arrive (I’ve tried to source the most accurate parts I can) I might end up sticking two sets on ebay. If I do I’ll post a link in the “for sale” section! I have no idea how much I’d charge for them because until I get all the bits in and see how much time it takes to get the just right it’s hard to quantify! Also havign to import some bits to the UK is a bit slow and can bump the cost up!
I’ve tried to source more of the accurate clips (as I said, I’ve only been able to source 4 so far), if I could find a regular supplier I’d probably make more of them and be able to offer them cheaper!

Nice supplier but the sheapest postage option they offer (to the UK) is $28!!!
50 of the D-rings only costs $18 :sigh:
I highly recommend Multi Media Mayhem. I pretty much only buy key fobs from Colin right now. I have all the fobs for my Ghostbusters belt, and when I start on my standard Ghostbusters II belt I plan on ordering from him as well.

I guess this will be my start, I’ve been doing things like this for years..lol… unless I’m just not seeing it, can someone tell me how wide the belt is..
