I searched but didn’t have much luck, or didn’t dig deep enough - apologies if I missed this answer somewhere.
I have a Matty wand on my pack, and I’m looking to mod it to have the hook on the gun track so that I can hang the wand off the fob on the utility belt. Not sure where to buy that hook, and curious as to if anyone else has modded their Matty wand to accept it.
I am curious about this as well. Any thoughts?
I was able to find a little info about the S-hook, still haven’t seen it done on a Matty wand. Bought the stuff to do it today, maybe I’ll tackle it this weekend and put up pics of it.

The part you’re referring to is an S-hook.
Standard S-hooks can be bought at most hardware stores. They look like this:
To make it usable on a proton pack, simply take one end with a vice or some pliers, and bend it 90 degrees so it’s pointing up, as shown:
Next, put one end around the little cylinder toward the back on your gun track, cover it with a washer, and thread a bolt through everything: the washer, the hook, and the little cylinder.
It should look something like this:
Obviously on a Matty wand, you’ll have to disassemble the entire thing, but the basic premise should remain.
Go to Keymaster props on Facebook. Peter, who runs key master props specializes in s-hooks & V-hooks for matty throwers.
Is there even room in the battery chamber to fit a bolt to secure the screw for the s-hook? Haven’t looked in there recently, but I recall the space being tight, no?
This was my concern. Once you remove the plate, the batteries are right underneath. My thought process was to drill out the fake plastic screw and use a very short machine screw and glue it in place. I’d like to see what others have done with Matty wands before I do this myself.
I think that is the only way to do it. Using generous amounts of hot glue or super glue and that thing won’t move. Luckily the wand doesn’t weigh alot. But I imagine if you actually use this feature alot on the belt, overtime, it may become loose. That wouldn’t be a pretty picture.
The funny thing is I have scoured the web for anyone else attempting this and came up empty handed. I am assuming no one else has tried this.
Suppose that means I have to document this well, then!

There was someone who had put a little ring on the bottom. I am having trouble searching for it in my phone. I’m sure it was in one of the Matty thrower modification threads.
So I decided to tackle this tonight. Took me longer than I wanted to, but got it done and functions great. Thank goodness they left room in there for a bolt. So here is more or less the goal I was going for:

Your S-Hook installation looks great. Might have to try that with my Matty Wand 
If you look at the ‘discs’ that are molded out of plastic on the bottom of the gun track. It almost perfectly makes a good center for drilling the hole.
As far as mine goes, I got 2 7/8ths washers, an s hook, one nylon bushing, and a 10-32 socket cap screw and nut. I made sure the nylon spacer fits inside the s hook. That holds the hook centered on the screw so it doesn’t move around. And then I just used a washer on both sides. I don’t want the nut to be too tight and possibly break through that plastic gun track.
Btw all this can be found at your local ace in the nuts and bolts bins/drawers area.
Steady hands!!! I took my dremel and drilled a hole at the very back edge of the battery cover , and then screwed the hook and washer in. It was late and all I had was long screws…so I used the dremel to cut them precise. Hope this helps!!!
