i dont know if this was discussed earlier … but who has the original idea of the Proton Pack for the movie and the other props ?

I know that Dan Aykroyd has written the script but was he also responsible for the prop ideas ?

Are there any known sources ?

Dan Aykroyd originally designed it. You can see early concepts in the bonus features on the DVD.

I believe Dan Aykroyd is said to have submitted a video of himself in a quickie jumpsuit with I guess a basic idea of a proton pack. I forget if it was made of styrofoam with radio parts or something. Someone else with their copy of Making GB can verify. Nevermind, it’s on Spook Central too, the trivia.

Wouldn’t that make a great extra on the bluray? Though that video is maybe long gone. :frowning: Or something Dan himself has.

EDIT: What he said above.

i think Dan is a a smart guy for making up the proton pack and dosent get enough credit… oh and those dudes who probably worked their butts off on the props down in Sony’s lab of prop building…

You mean the fellas doing thier jobs?

I suppose. I would be interested to see the conceptual visions of the proton pack.
