People were doing it before Sanctum of Slime. I’m not going to discuss everything wrong with the presentation of the IP in that game, but just because they did it in SOS, that doesn’t make it look any less silly. Just my opinion, not trying to take over the thread.
Janine had them as well in the cartoon…or maybe it was just the toy…either way since that’s where I first saw it I assumed it was to protect her knees during BJs
Good call Chace, Ron. There is something to be said, however, that the only memorable use of kneepads on the knees in the Ghostbusters universe (I’m excluding the marketed-for-the-kids Wii game) was by a female. Even then, it was in the animated cartoon. If a grown man is wearing kneepads and he isn’t roofing, flooring, or otherwise working on his hands and knees, get ready for the BJ jokes to ensue, as Chace already stated.
The little guy had a nice costume. Pack looked good, suit looked good and it had lights and junk.
The other 2 weren’t that great, especially next to him. Not considering the accuracy or inaccuracy of any of their kits, the black guys pack looks like it’s falling apart, the black and orange(?) knee pads clash with the suit, the jumpsuit looks odd without a belt and the black guy doesn’t have a name tag. Oh, and he looks like a HUGE FREAKING ■■■■■■.
And I think if they’d presented themselves as, “Ghostbusters” instead of specific characters from the movie it would have been better. That way you have room to wiggle. “Yeah, our knee pads and white elbow pads are custom.”
I love it when people get ■■■■■■ that they didn’t win the costume contest. They’ve missed the point entirely. It’s even better when they have bad costumes.
