Just for fun, based on the issue of USA Today that Winston shows Gary and the Spenglers when discussing the original containment unit explosion, I knocked together a map showing the implied shockwave from the '84 ECU explosion. The paper notes a “Mystery blast over Manhattan” which rattled windows “as far as Yonkers”, so I guess this is the minimum the shockwave could be. That’s a hell of a bang…
