I guess it’s because of the mustache being shaved off and his face seems to look somewhat younger compared to the first. Anybody else agree. I’m sure they only did that though because of Real Ghostbusters. Along with Janine having red hair in it too.
I noticed this too. I like his appearance in GB2 more because of it. I always assumed someone sent a memo requesting Winston be clean shaven to have more resemblance to his RGB look but he could also have just changed on his own. Ray seemed to have a somewhat more refined hairstyle, annoyingly referred to as a “hedgehog haircut” in some novelizations. All myths about Eddie Murphy aside, Hudson kinda had his look in 1984. Seemed odd in The Video Game to dial him back to exactly how he looked in the first movie simply for the sake of being very centric to the plot of the original.
Maybe it’s just me, but he also seemed thinner in GB2. Maybe that had something to do with it.
I thought so too, so much so that when I was a kid I thought it was a different actor.
I admit that I thought that as a kid too.
I did too!!
As a kid I thought it was a different actor, with the moustache having gone & his hair was slightly longer in the second movie
Earlier this afternoon, GB- I/II, were shown back to back.
I hadn’t seen these movies since 1984/1989 when I was
raising my two boys.
Ernie does look like he’s in better shape than in the first
film. I’m quite sure after GB-I he was given more acting
opportunities.
Personally, I think the 'stache looks much better.
I think he made some pact with the devil and he hasn’t aged since the early 90’s.
The guy’s pushing 70 and looks amazing.
I’m almost positive I’ve heard him say that he got almost no offers for a few years after Ghostbusters.
Really?
Yeah he’s talked about that recently, too. I think he had some parts in b-movies and his next big(ish) movie was the Hand That Rocks the Cradle in 92 or 93. That’s the role he says he’s most proud of, by the way.
Every time I’ve seen, Ernie at cons
he’s always in a good mood.
