Working on my first Proton Pack (Back From The Dead!)

Here’s the motherboard. I’m going to get it ready to attach this week.

The newly repainted Alice frame, I think it is a major improvement from where it was. I’ll get the carriage bolts this week as well.

I also got some tubing to put inside the wire loom. I know it isn’t accurate, but I like the way it keeps it from bunching up. Also it looks like there are some heavy duty cables under it.

I’ve also ordered the booster frame and the SMC elbows and straights.

The only piece I’m really missing from the pack right now that I can’t build myself is the bumper.

I made the shock mount out of some washers.

He’s the Ion Arm bit. It’s made from foamboard and wooden dowels. The dowels are actually colored gold instead of copper at the moment. I might keep it this way, it gives it a slightly different look.

Booster Frame is also in. Needs a little more sanding before I’m happy with it.

I’ve drilled some holes into the Ion Arm so I can attach the resistors. I’ve also got all the PVC pieces glued on the pack. I made some fake weld lines at the edges of the pieces and I’ll be letting it dry overnight.

Tomorrow I’ll give it another coating of silver paint, then I can get a coat of black on it. The motherboard is also ready to be painted. Also get it attached to the shell this week
