What do you think of seeing Ghostbusters 3 in 3D and calling it Ghostbusters 3D? It would be awesome to see the proton pack beam shooting twards you and the Ghosts coming twards you. Slimer eating in front of you as the food flops out on the screen?Or the ectomobile driving by in 3D? It would be awesome I think. Tell me what you guys think maybe this could happen.

I agree with Dan. The ONLY way this would work is if only certain parts of the movie were in 3D, like the SFX scenes. It would be REALLY cool to see Slimer charging at the screen and looking like he’s going to end up in your face though!

i say the last harry potter in 3d and it was awesome, the detail was amazing
so saying that i’d love it to be Ghostbusters 3D
with one thing that needs to maintained, that they do not base the movie as some sort of 3D gimic,
by that i mean neglect story and character development in favour of random effects to show off 3D
They’d just need to write a Ghostbusters movie ture to its self then just record in 3D for the quality
however i just don’t know if they could keep to that, Harry potter did it, i’ve yet to see if the other 3D movies this year will keep to that (UP, Jim Carrey’s Christmas Carol)
the start of the Half blood prince worked so well, just the normal scenes of him in the train station and the village, then the special effects scene at the start before it went to 2D were awesome
I saw the Toy Story double feature 3D yesterday. It looked great. They didn’t change the movies, they just re-rendered them in 3D. There were no gimmicks flying out of the screen but rather the 3D was mostly depth going behind the screen.
I don’t mind if Ghostbusters 3 is in 3D but they should do the entire movie, not just some FX shots, and I agree it shouldn’t affect the story.

My answer: No. While it may be a fun novelty, there are alot of people who have no depth perception, and thus cannot see the 3D effect.
Using the same logic, movies should be in black & white because a lot of people have color blindness.
thats a fair point wbundick, the movie can be shown in both 2D and 3D at different times/cinemas, they have hearing loops and audio description services at UK cinemas that are designed for people with disabilities, but they don’t affect it for the majority of none disabled persons, so surely saying that about depth perception isn’t right as they’d just provide it in 2D also

I think that would be a big mistake.
I would hate to see any of the GB movies in 3-D. The REAL D isn’t that great, and most times is difficult to watch with very little actual 3-D effect. GB 3 should be a SCOPE film, just like the first two were, in both 2K/4K digital and 35mm formats. Now, THAT would be awesome…
I’m fine with any of them in 3d except the first one, because Dan Aykroyd 3d crotch close-up just doesn’t suit my fancy

I wouldnt mind if they made a few scenes in 3D for the third movie. I just hope they don’t call it Ghostbusters 3D. But Ghostbusters 3 in 3D would be suitable.
As long as they didn’t do cheap 3D tricks I’d be fine with it. Although given the shape a few of the guys are in, seeing them in 3D might not be flattering.

And what of the ppl that are colorblind and can’t see in 3D?Hmm?Do we just get to leave those ppl out,I am in fact colorblind and cannot see in 3D,anytime I’m at Universal Studios and do the 3d shows,I don’t bother with the glasses.
In short,horrible idea,not everyone can view in 3D.
Most 3d movies this past summer were run in 3d and also had 2d screenings as well.
Limiting a release of anything because a small portion of the populace can’t use it is ludicrous!
not anyone can see either or hear either. some can’t do EITHER of them! ■■■■ IT! Ghostbusters should have just been released in BRAIL.
If they 3D effect was just an effect, and not a gimmick. Sure. Why not. In GB when the Ecto-1 pulls out for the first time, that would be neat in 3D.And when it turns that corner to speed away from the firehouse that would be a nice effect in 3D too. The kicker if the first was in 3D would be of course, Slimer flying at the screen at the end. If GB1 was released in 3D - most people would assume that was a gimmick for the 3D. 
If they don’t even THINK about the 3D and just film it in 3D and release it in 3D that’d be fine. If the film isn’t filmed around the concept of the gimmick we won’t be sacrificing anything.
well new rumor is that they are planning on making a lot of older films 3D and that GB is one of them. now if there is any truth in that im not sure. but i to agree with that the close up crotch shot would not be pretty in anyway. maybe they will cut that out…lol
