So I was bored earlier and I decided to check out what happens if you go to different Ghostbusters domains. Of course ghostbusters3.com goes to Sony’s site. But I was wondering what about ghostbusters4.com? It just goes to some site saying it’s been registered. What was funny is that I decided to go to http://www.ghostbusters5.com and they have a mock poster and the line from GB2 “the world will end on Feb. 14 2016.” Obviously its not an official site or anything, but is someone here responsible for it?

And it would certainly give sony the chance to cross over GB with MIB. (Not that I’m saying that’s a good thing, they are just both Sony properties.)

Odd fan film perhaps? Although why it’s so far in the future is anyone’s guess.
That date and the lines on the poster are direct quotes from Ghostbusters II. :sigh:

That’s actually why I think it could be a fan film. That and the odd numbering and 2 year timeline (the third isn’t even made yet).
Not to dismiss a fan film. A new fan film could be cool.
Well the page is fan made. No question there. The only reason I think they made a GBV Poster is because GBIII and GBIV are already registered domains. It’s likely just a “fun” page made by fan(s) and there may not be a film in development by those responsible for the page. The average fan film also doesn’t take 6+ years to make. The release date on the poster is 2016 (while also quoting a previous film). There would be some kind of evidence lending itself to be a fan film if there was a link, info, credits of any kind… you name it. But nadda. Just a poster just for fun with no serious promises- made for fans and obviously made to be a joke/ fan service with all of it’s direct quotes that are likely only ment to be inside jokes.

Regardless, the webpage is good for a quick laugh. I really liked that scene, and how it reminds me of all the paranormal/ufo shows I still like watching.
