As luck would have it, I’ve run into a guy that paints model kits and is pretty good at it. I told him, “I just happen to have a kit” I’ve commisioned his painting skills and in gathering reference, I realized that we need a thread to display this unique collectible. The kit is outstanding and I’m really surprised it wasn’t more popular. (GB2 haters…)
So, while I will be displaying progress and finished pics of my kit, I encourage other owners of this kit to post pics of their own.
Damn, that detail is amazing. And the paint is coming out great. Is it going to be lifelike colors? Or is it going to have an orange hue like in the painting?
I want lifelike colors and will be displaying it in a portrait type framed shadow box type thing with a yellowish/orangey light… It should turn out pretty sweet.
Dude, that is looking slick! You were a big part of the original project too, I didn’t know, until you sent me them, that the armor photos even existed.
If there is enough interest we could probably be convinced to break the old molds out. They still have some life in them
