About the GB I & II Blu-Ray Cover Art...

Within the last few weeks I have picked up Gb1 on VHS MIB copyrighted from 1984, 1994, and 1996 and the covers are so much better then the slime box even though the VHS pics stay the same. I do like the back of the 1999 release on DVD, not bad photoshop.

Blech. I hate the green jello covers.

id like the green slime cover alot more if it didnt have the metallic shine 2 it,

the main thing i dont like is the scrapbook pencil idea, even on the actual dvds

would anyone be interested in custom covers made with the black and no ghost logo? i’m working on some covers and have the images and stuff i need to do it… i’m thinking something like the vhs covers with the red border. they’d be something you can print out on your own and use if you’d like.

I’ve made this…I’m still working on the back…

That’s awesome, but I’d move the logo and the text above up just a hair.

Yea, I wish they had it like that! Simple is better. Like Apple.

If you complete this I will print it out for my bd once it comes out.

Nope! I think you’ve pretty much got it covered.

here’s what i did for the dvds. i was going for the look of the vhs i did two versions one with the red border one with out.

without border

with border.

That’s simple and fantastic. Works VERY well with the blue, BLU-RAY case. AWESOME! I always disliked the green slime DVD covers as well. Makes the films look like cheesey kid garb…BLAH!

I absolutely hate seeing the logo more than once in a certain space, I think it is redundant and tacky. If it’s going to be the logo on black, the “Ghostbusters” part should just be text with the blue glow.

Let the debate begin.

Gotta love the miss spelling of Aykroyd’s name… :sigh: I mean c’mooonn!!

Wow…hopefully that little typo will be fixed soon.

*I can just imagine the meeting they had over this “new cover” - “Oh gee let’s keep the “Flubber” style cover, but let’s make it BLUE!! Get it? Blue as in “Blu-RAY”? Gawfaw gaffaw”…

*And the blue cover is one thing, but misspelling “Aykroyd”?..One thing to misspell it in a magazine article, but on a mass-produced disc cover? Is someone drunk on the job again?

*Cheers.

I hope it’s a fake

What the Hell does the blue represent?

Although I do prefer it to the green.

blue slime = blu-ray.

Blue.

they thought they were being clever, but they failed.

I preferred biodom’s classic black version myself.

It has to be fan created…

Then why is it on Digital Bits being treated as the real thing. I mean it certainly LOOKS like it was made by some ordinary shmuck…

it wouldve made more sense to use the green slime version since that is what the current dvd release looks like…
