I’ve tried to get me an ALICE frame on ebay but the only guys who sell them are Alhengy surplus (or something like that). Any of you done bussiness with them? Any other ideas for frames?

I’ve gotten a few things from them, including an ALICE frame. They’re top notch.
if i were you, i’d try a local military surplus store first. i know the one i got from ebay was a MIL-SPEC and is considerably shorter than the old school LC-1 and had i checked the local military surplus first, i could have gotten one for $10.

It all depends on if you want a new one for $40-50 or a used one for ~$10.
btw - top tip, most used LC-1 frames are actually green/olive drab as they get painted. According to one used dealer I know it’s only the marines that leave the frames black (or repaint older ones black too). So don’t obsess over the color of the frame meaning its right or wrong.
