Since the lenses were updated, I could not use the same locking system as I did with my previous goggles. Therefore, I designed this new locking system which will work out perfectly while adding a bit of detail inside the goggle.
Note: I’m going to re-write the code making this plate a bit better but the detail will remain the same.
I haven’t figured out if I want to paint the inner plate or leave it. I think I like it like this better. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Beautiful. Regarding the plate, on the one hand I kind of dig the contrast of the raw/mechanical look. Since it’s sort of hidden inside the goggles it’ll stand out more when you’re displaying it. On the other hand, paint matching it would look more like military issue.
If you still can’t decide, you can always leave it raw for a while and see if it grabs you. If not, paint that sucka!
Franchesky how far away from production are these, or are these already for sale?
Man those came out better than I expected. I can’t wait to finally have a set of these on my face!

There’s still much to do with this build but I’m looking forward to complete it very soon.
Next thing I’ll be doing is to ano the locking tubes to match the lenses, and re-design the new internal locking plate in order to properly install the locking tubes.
My case log is near completion and I’m hoping that I start machining the new lenses over the X-mas break. I’ll keep you all informed.

Franchesky, will this setup work on real AN/PVS-5 frames, not just resin copies?
They should work just fine since the resin frames are cast from the real frames.
Looks great, although now I want to change out your old ones
You should be able to change the lenses with the new ones.
You can always send them to me and I can do that.
