On a routine run to Home Depot to get a few things I needed to FINALLY finish up the Wii styled proton pack I’m building for my little brother. As I traversed the aisles, I wandered down the cleaning section and literally did a double take when I saw what basically amounted to proton gun handles for sale!
I went ahead and bought four. Two for the wii pack, and two for my own, which right now has the most ghetto of handles ever. I checked and these will fit around both 3/4 and 1/2 pvc. My gun uses 1/2, so I had to make sure. The back of the handle has a split and will stretch around whatever tube you use. They come in both blue and green and you may have to look carefully, as they are easy to miss and surrounded by other blue and green cleaning stuff on the racks.
There we go. Scroll about 2/3 down. There’s a pic of the game’s design, followed by my build. I have it all painted now. I just need to put it together and make the thrower. Apparently, shortly after I got that far, the game makers went back through and have switched to the classic movie style design. I for one preferred the more cartoony one. It fit better with the designs of the characters.
man you werent kidding when you said its easy to miss. i went to home depot and found em squished between all the other cleaning supplies there. it kinda looked like they were hiding lol. i slapped em on my proton gun when i got home and wow does it feel better than these wooden grips i made. great find dude

Uni, I will definitely be finishing this. I want my bro to be able to wear it when we hit San Diego comic con this year. It will be our first, so I want him to be decked out. I actually spent this afternoon building a custom frame for it, modeled after the alice pack, but made from pvc. It looks a little XGB-ish, but it works. I had to put it down for awhile at the end of last year with school wrapping up and working on the calendar and such, but I have a little more free time now. Look for more updates soon.
